INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, construction industry is still doing the traditional way of straining pebbles and
sand to be used for cement mixing. We will conduct this project for faster and reliable separation
of sediments that will be a big help to the construction workers. It is necessary to separate large,
medium and tiny pebbles because in construction there is an ideal size of pebbles for different
types of concrete and finishes. Traditional way of straining pebbles is very time consuming and
requires a lot manpower, that having been said our solution is automated sediment separator not
only it will help the construction workers it’ll also fasten the process of construction and will
greatly lessens the loss of wasted sediments in the process.
OBJECTIVES
In order to accomplish our project we set some objectives to make our project efficiently.
The focus of this project is very beneficial for our construction workers. This will make
their job faster and simplified, therefore minimizes their work and wasted sediments. Our
prototype will make the straining process easier, reliable and more efficient for the workers. It will
lessen the straining time process and it will also be safer for the employees. Faster rate of
production will be observed. Nowadays the traditional way of doing this process requires three or
more workers working side by side to do each of their part in the said process thus increase
manpower needed and time consuming. After they filter the finer sediments to be used they used
to just throw the unfiltered sediments which is then turned into waste. Our project not only benefits
the workers but also the contractor because now that its sorted into each of their sizes now they
can use other sediments sizes for other purposes not just the finer particles, thus minimizing the
wasted construction materials.
