We kicked off the Dribbble Global Design Survey to better
understand the design community and how and where it’s
growing. We asked questions surrounding careers,
salaries, skill building, remote work, and more—gleaning
remarkable insights from designers worldwide.

Findings
The majority of global respondents are 35 years old and younger and are Art by Glenn Thomas
employed full-time. Considering this, it’s not a big surprise that nearly 75% of
global respondents don’t have children, though just over 50% are open to
having them someday.

Findings
U.S. respondents are more likely to have Bachelor’s degrees and are Art by Ranganath Krishnamani
more likely to be older than global respondents. Additionally, U.S.
respondents are more than 1.5 times more likely to have children than
global respondents.

compensation and current role. Pay satisfaction correlates directly
with overall job satisfaction, demonstrating that competitive pay is the

Designers to their design teams this year.

Brand/Logo Designers and Illustrators are most likely to be remote, Art by Oleksandr Aleksandrov
with nearly 25% of each being fully remote. While just 14% of U.S.
designers are full-time remote, these designers earn higher average
salaries compared to onsite employees.
