I. Objectives
At the end of one-hour discussion, each student is expected to do the following
competencies;
1. explain the salient concepts and principles of the major development theories
2. value the importance of reviewing child and adolescent development
3. apply these theories to teaching-learning situations

A. Preliminaries
a. Greetings
Good Morning Class! Good Morning!
How was your past week? Is it good or It is (Students will briefly answer)
better than last week?
b. Motivation
This morning before we begin with our lesson, (Students will read the quotations)
we will show you some quotations to ponder.
Anyone who want to share to the class their (Students will raise their hands to share
opinion about the quotation? their opinion to the class)
C. Discussion
This morning our lesson will be about the review (Students will read the graphic organizer
of theories related to learner’s development. We that we present)
will present the graphic organizer that we have
here.
Have you heard the name Freud? Erickson? (Students will recall the familiar names
Piaget? Kohlberg? Vygotsky? Bronfenbrenner? and identify where they hear those names)
Those names are the theorists that will give us (Students will take note important details
the knowledge of our learner’s development for of the theories)
us to become a good facilitator. Let us recall the
highlights of their theories and connects them to
learning.
D. Generalization
Based on the theories we have presented, how (Students will give examples of situations
can we apply each theory on teaching-learning that can we apply in each theories)

E. Application
We will group you into 6 groups. Each group Students will go to their respective group
will be assign to each theorist and you are going and answer the question.
