TRAINING-WORKSHOP FOR SCHOOL REGISTRARS

"Enhancement of Registrars' Skills for Quality Service"

I - Rationale:

The 30th Annual ARSCU XI Regional Convention, the 11 th FOSRA (Federation of

School Registrars' Association) National Assembly, and the 5 th Mindanao-Wide
Invitational Convention revealed in the Evaluation report that a Training Workshop for
New and Old Registrars regarding school records and the operation of Registrars' Office
be made where sharing of the best and worst experiences should be made.

II - Objectives:

1. To provide the registrars with new developments on Records Management.

2. To afford the registrars an avenue for interaction and exchange of ideas.
3. To strengthen working relationship of the registrars and the schools stakeholders.

III - Process:

1. Guidelines for the grouping are as follows:

a) Basic Education (HS and Elem.) Registrars ' group
b) Tech-Voc - TESDA Registrars' group
c) Tertiary-Collegiate Registrars' group

2. Each group will elect a Moderator and a Recorder / Reporter.

3. Each group will be provided with materials to be used for the reporting.
4. A speaker for each group will share for 30 minutes some experiences in the
management of his/her office.
5. Each group will be given another 30 minutes to discuss and share ideas.
6. Each group will be given maximum of 10 minutes to render the report.

IV - Guide Questions:

1. What are the most common problems encountered by Registrars' in the course of
his / her day to day transactions?
2. How can ARSCU help in making intervention with aligned agencies like DepEd,
TESDA, CHED and PRC?
3. Suggest some specific measures and activities that ARSCU should undertake further
to enhance registrars' skills.
