SCRIPT WORK
Please prepare a short monologue (written by yourself) for the character you are being considered
for, giving your characters’ backstory/history/upbringing/family life/hopes for the future etc. Please
remember that these are poor, working class kids in the 1950’s (with the exception of Sandy). The
monologue should have a ‘raw, visceral, film-style delivery’, very real and gritty.

IF YOU ARE BEING SEEING SEEN FOR AN ENSEMBLE ROLE then please select a character from the
show (or your potential cover role if specified) and prepare the relevant short monologue as above.

We MAY look at some sides so please make sure you have read the script.

Many thanks.

Kay
