DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN SCIENCE7

Prepared by:
Lorie Jean Q. Antiquina

I.OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson the student should be able to:

a. define Connective Tissue;

b. identify the different type of Connective tissue;and
c. value the importance of Connective tissue.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

Topic :Tissue: Connective Tissue

Refference : Learners Module

Materials :Visual Aids

III. PROCEDURE

Teacher’s Activity Students’ Activity

A.Preparation
Good afternoon class.
Good afternoon Ma’am.
Let us pray.
( Praying)
Before you will take your seats kindly
pick up the pieces of paper under your
chairs, and arrange your chairs properly.
(Sitting)
I have here your attendance ,please write
your name and affixed your signature
here.
(Fixing the attendance)
Before we will formally start our lesson ,
everybody read for our agreement.
RESPECT
How will you show your respect if
someone is talking here infront?
Listen attentively.
What about if you want to answer or ask
some questions,how will show your
respect?
Raise our right hand Ma’am.
Exactly! Lastly how will you show your
respect if we will have an activity ?
We will participate and cooperate Ma’am.
Alright ! I hope that this agreement we
have should be followed until the end of
this lesson.

B.Motivation

I want everybody to stand and form 2

lines with equal number of students each
lines. I have here a picture in front. All
you have to do is to get this picture and
you will know what will be our
discussion for today. Going back with the
line, your eyes must be close, hold your
hands together and then I will press the
hand of the two person at the back and
that person will do the same to the hand
of the person they are holding. The
student in front who receives the signal
will pick the picture and tell everyone
what it is. Am I clear?

Let’s start.

C. Presentation Yes ma’am.

Base on our activity, what is our topic Do as told.

this day?

Very good. Here are the set of objectives

to be attained in this lesson.
Kindly read _________? Connective tissue ma’am.

At the end of the lesson the student should be

able to:
a. define Connective Tissue;
b. identify the different type
of Connective tissue;and
c. value the importance of
Connective tissue.
.
.

Thank you. At the end of our discussion

we will verify if we have attained our
objectives.

D. Discussion Connective tissue supports and binds other

tissues of the body.
What is connective tissue?

Very good.
Loose connective and dense connective.
There are two types of connective tissue,
what are those?

Very good.

Go with your group. And discuss the

different type of connective tissue. I will Do as told.
give you 10 minutes to prepare. And
your time start now.

Time is up the first group to perform is Do as told.

about the loose connective tissue. Let us
give them a big hand. Loose connective tissue is the most common
type of connective tissue in vertebrates.
There are three kinds of loose connective
tissue these are areolar tissue,
reticular tissue, and adipose tissue.
Areolar connective tissue holds organs in
place and attaches epithelial tissue to other
underlying tissues
Reticular connective tissues are found in the
kidney, the spleen, lymph nodes, and bone
marrow.
And lastly, adipose tissue, or fat, is an
anatomical term for loose connective
tissue composed of adipocytes. Its main role
is to store energy in the form of fat.

Do as told.

Very good. Let us gave them a barangay

clap.
Do as told.
The next group will be the group dense
connective tissue. Let us welcome them Dense connective tissue, also
with a big hand. called dense fibrous tissue, is a type
of connective tissue with fibers as its main
matrix element.
There are two types of dense connective
tissue these are the regular and irregular
dense connective tissue.
Dense irregular connective tissue has fibers
that are not arranged in parallel bundles as
in dense regular connective tissue. Dense
irregular connective tissue consists of mostly
collagen fibers.
And lastly, the Dense regular connective
tissue provides connection between
different tissues in the human body. The
collagen fibers in dense regular connective
tissue are bundled in a parallel fashion. ... In
sheath arrangement collagen bundles and
matrix are distributed in irregular patterns,
sometimes in the form of a network.
Very good, let us gave them a wow clap.

E . Application

Now, we wi

Selective representative ! please come

here infront and get your materials for the
activity.

Everybody read the instruction.

In your group cut out pictures must be

your laboratory answer sheet.

Observed and maintain our agreement for a

Are we all set? better flow of the activity.
I will give you 10 minutes to finished the
activity. Your time start now.
Yes, ma’am.

It is good to know that you were able to

identify them all. Let us give ourselves a
barangays clap. Do as told.

F.Generalization Do as told.

What do you call the group of cell that is

grouped together?

Very good.

What is the type of tissue that are closely

attached to each other? Tissue ma’am.

Very Good! Thank you

Epithelial tissue ma’am.
