Third Person Point of view (3rd PERSON POV)

In the busy road of EDSA, Phoebe Mendez is in rush riding her BMW, it is because she
was late in her first day of her work as a new Marketing Consultant Analyst in a bigtime
company. She smiled remembering her first time signing a contract for this company. As she
read the contract, there is a bold letter emphasizing one important policy, romantic
relationships are typically forbidden in the workplace. She sighed, 'It’s good that he's not
working there'.

After she parked her car, she saw her best of friend, Stacy Soleil, entering the entrance of
the company. "What is she doing here? Is she working here?" she asked to herself. But she
just shrugged her shoulder off after. And Phoebe started running because she is really late.

But she accidentally bumped into someone while rushing to the elevator. She fell, and
looked up, it’s like her world stopped for a while. The man was her closest friend in her college
years. In fact, it's her boyfriend, Shawn Crowford. Phoebe got shocked finding out that her
boyfriend is working at the same company as her, which will be a big trouble if they caught
having a relationship. "What are you doing here? Are you working here all this time?" she
asked Shawn. "Yes, I'm sorry I did not tell you" he replied.

She saw Stacy waving her hand while walking toward her but she didn't waved back,
instead she gave a dagger look. "Why you didn't tell me that you're working together in this
company, you should told me?!" she said. "I'm sorry, okay? I just forgot that he's here"
Stacy answered then laughed. She just forgave them this time because she want her first day to
be great. "What are we gonna do now, what if someone might know about our relation? We
are all dead if that will happen!" she said while panicking. So, they decided not to tell
everyone about them having a relationship.

PHOEBE's POV

I said a bye to them, and they just gave me a good luck. Yeah, I really need that for now
because I heard my manager is strict when it comes to rules and policies. I hope that this will be
a great day for me! "Aja! Fighting Phoebe!" I said to motivate myself.

Unfortunately, my day got worst contrary in what I've expected. Because, as I entered our
department, everyone is busy. Noise and shouting voice lingered to my ears. Throwing of things
like papers and pens are flying above the cubicles. And employees walking, and running in and
out at the entrance of our department. In short, no one is noticing me entering this messy place.

Before I stepped my foot inside, someone bumped at me again. I fell to the ground as
well as her, while the documents are falling everywhere. Now, I can say that this place is really
messy and my day is ruined.

I stood up and gave a hand to her, but she refused it and slapped my hand. She stood up
alone and annoyingly looked at me. She gave me a dagger look, "Who are you?! Look what
have you done? Pick all those documents and arrange it, NOW!" she shouted at me. "I'm
sorry, Miss" I said and collect all the documents. "I'm sorry again, by the way, I am Phoebe
Mendez, the new Marketing Consultant Analyst." I said then I offered a hand shake but she
just look at it. "Nice meeting you, Miss Mendez, I am Georgia, your Marketing Department
Manager." she said and looked around. I lowered my head to hide my embarrassment.

"WHAT ARE YOU ALL STARING AT?! GO BACK TO YOUR WORK!!" she
shouted. That's when I noticed that everyone stopped their works while watching us. I bowed my
head to her, before I walked to my cubicle and start working.

So that is what happened to my first day.

 As the days went on, the treatment of my manager got worst, worst than my first day. It's
been 3 days since I started to work here, but my manager is still the same and got worsen. I think
she's taking a revenge at me because I bumped her last time. She's always yelling at me, shouting
bad words, pointing fingers and giving a full loads of work even though it's not my work to do.

I want to tell it to the upper management, but what can I can do? She's more powerful
than me, more influencers and believers. She's been here since the company started. So how can
the management believe in me? How can they believe in a first timer, a newbee? I lowered down
my head at the table of my cubicle and silently cried.

After a minute, I just decided to tell everything to Stacy and Shawn. They both agreed
and we will meet up at the nearest restaurant after work.

As my work ended, I decided to go to the bathroom first before going to the restaurant. I
enter to the vacant cubicle. But before I got out to the cubicle, somebodies enter the bathroom
'her manager and her pets, her co-managers'. They're talking about her. "What is happening
inside your department, Georgia?" her co-manager asked. "Yeah right, I just don't like the
new employee, she's so..so..I can't even find a better word for her. She's annoying, super
annoying!!" my manager explained. As the voice gone, I got out to the cubicle and stare at the
mirror while brushing the tears rolling down from my eyes. "What did I do to her to get mad
at me like that?" I asked to myself.

3RD PERSON'S POV

After that, Phoebe quickly go to the restaurant thinking she might be late but there still no
presence of her friend and her boyfriend. Minutes passed, Shawn and Stacey enter the restaurant
talking and laughing. She remembered the last time she saw her boyfriend laugh like that. But
she shrugged it off. She waved her hand to them to get their attention.

She told to them about the bullying happened to her. Stacey is shocked and Shawn got
angry. So, her friend told to her to speak it up to the management but she just refused it because
of the thought of they might not believe on her.

So, to light up the mood, they just talking to the moment of the old times, on how her and
her boyfriend met and how they got along well in their college life.

Flashback...

After the long discussion, Phoebe decided to go to the library to read more about the
lesson discussed earlier. So, while finding a book regarding to mental disorders, her friend,
Stacey, showed up together with a not familiar boy. She left the book back and they decided to go
to the canteen.

Her friend introduced the boy to her. She told to her that he is her blocked mate and her
close friend inside their classrooms. While telling that to her she noticed that Stacey's eyes were
sparkling, but she shrugged it off because she thought that she was just really happy to have a
new friend.

As she looked to the boy, she felt awkward because the boy was staring at her. But she
just smiled.

After a few days, they already felt comfortable to each other to the point he courted her,
and after a months of courting, they became an official couple until now.

End of flashback...
 As they end the conversation, they decided to give a farewell to her friend while her
boyfriend insisted to give her a ride.

PHOEBE's POV

Hello Monday!

I happily greeted the guards and continue walking. Before I can take a seat, I noticed that
there is a little sticky note so I read it and that's make me blushed, it’s from my boyfriend.

"Good morning love, have a good day, Love you" - Your Shawn. That is what written at
the note. It’s good that no one noticed this.

I decided to go outside and have a peeked to my boyfriend's workplace but I saw him
happily talking to my bestfriend and to his teammates. 'So, they're at the same management'

I saw Stacey not talking to everyone inside their office but she is smiling and laughing in
an awkward way, just like the old times.

Way back in our college years, Stacey is not really friendly and always shy, actually she
in an introvert and not talking to everybody aside from me and Shawn. Stacey said to me that she
was afraid to befriend to others because they might betray and bully her because of the way she
talked because she always stuttered while talking. So I treated her like my sister.

After a minute of standing outside, I finally got their attention, I waved to my boyfriend
and to Stacey before going back to work.

Months passed, my manager still giving her a hard time. No, everyday, I always got
bullied by my manager. But not today because Miss Georgia gave a shocking announcement.
An employee from other management got transferred to our management. And the most
shocking is that is my boyfriend, Shawn.

The days run normal, it’s been four days since he got transferred here and I don't even
have a single idea on why he got transferred here. While I doing my job, Shawn sat next to me. I
felt nervous and looked around afraid that someone might see us talking because it is so unusual
or is it just me? "How did transferred here?" I asked him. "I got promoted and asked them
if I can transfer into other department, and they all agreed." he replied. "What are you
crazy?! Don't you know that I working here, and still you decided to get transferred
here?!" I exclaimed.

So, I looked around again and I noticed that no one cares so I shrugged my shoulder and
we continue talking in a casual way.

After an hour, Miss Georgia walk beside me and stopped. We stop laughing. I nervously
looked up and meet her raging eyes. We apologized to her and Shawn stood up to continue
working. But I stopped again because Miss Georgia still their beside me. So, I asked what can I
do, and my manager said "I am watching you Miss Mendez, I hope you know the rule." then
walked away.

Its already lunch break so Shawn asked me if I want to get lunch with him and I agreed.
3RD PERSON'S POV

Weeks passed, their routine goes on, every morning her boyfriend always leaving a sweet
note on her cubicle, and when their manager was gone, they're sweetly talking to each other not
minding the stares and the teased of her officemates , but sometimes they noticed that their
manager was looking with them with I'm-watching-you look. And when the lunch break strikes
they always go together.

Today, their department is very busy. They talking to each other again with their
teammates because they are discussing about their recent project. While taking down notes her
Shawn gives her a bottled of water, and her group mates started teasing them and she got blushed
then they started laughing. Phoebe roamed her eyes around to see if their manager is there, but
she saw her bestfriend outside of the glass wall. She waved her hand to her. Stacey waved back
and signed that she needs to go back to work. She just nodded. She remembered the last time
they hang out together but she almost could not remembered. It was been months since they last
talked and it happened when their talking to the restaurant.

She sighed, and not minding the noise coming from her officemates. She thinks that she
needs to talked to her and say sorry. Yes, better she.

So, she stand up and told to her officemates that she just need to go the bathroom. She
way her out and start walking to her bestfriends' office. She saw Stacey writing a note and have a
bored face.

She said hi to her and she started saying an apology. "I thought you forgot me
already." Stacey said to Phoebe. "I'm sorry, you know that we're busy because of our recent
project, right?" Phoebe said. Stacey immediately forgave her because she understands that they
both busy and don't have time to hang out. They hugged each other and she walked out to the
office.

But before she got stepped her foot outside, she noticed her manager waiting to her
outside. Phoebe smiled but she did not got a respond instead her manager walked away.

Next morning, Phoebe is late. She is rush because her manager might nag her. As she
walked inside she noticed that her officemate was quiet, and its unusual. She noticed her
manager holding a note and standing beside her cubicle. Her knees got trembled because of fear.

PHOEBE'S POV

I silently walked near to my manager and bowed my head. Miss Georgia gave to me the
note, I looked up and met the throwing of dagger like stares from my manager. "I-I'm s-sorry
M-ma'am, let me explain." I pleaded. "Who the hell is your boyfriend?! Is it Mr. Shawn?!"
my manager asked angrily. "Y-yes M-ma'am. But please don't fire him. I just the one who is
right to blame and be punish." I pleaded while tears started to fall out. Miss Georgia told to me
that she will say it to their upper supervisor, and she will get fired if they continue their
relationship." Or break up with him, so that everything will be easy for you. Come on, Ms.
Mendez act like Professional and not a whore!" then my manager started to walk out and I
just sat to my seat and bowed my head at the table. I started to cry and Shawn can do nothing but
to stare at me.

3RD PERSON'S POV

Before Miss Georgia enter the supervisor's office, a girl came out from the room. The girl
stopped and stare at Miss Georgia, then she smirked before walking out. Miss Georgia looked
dumbfounded for a while before she continues entering the room. Their supervisor told to her
that it is good that she came because she is about to call her.

The supervisor told to her that one of her employees got a relationship inside of this
company which is prohibited. Miss Georgia got shocked and asked how the supervisor know
about it. The supervisor said that someone told to him. She asked who but she just shrugged her
shoulder. 'Maybe it was the girl a while ago' she thought.

Miss Georgia came out and she saw the same girl who is like eavesdropping to them.
Miss Georgia asked, "Who the hell are you and what are doing there?! but the girl just smirk
at her before bowing her head and walked away.

As soon as Georgia enter their office, Phoebe quickly stand up. Her manager gave a letter
form the supervisor's telling that she is one month suspended. She nodded because she expected
it that this will be happen and started to packed her things up. "I am giving you a chance so you
know what will you do next" her manager whispered at her.

Phoebe bid a farewell to her officemates before going out but her boyfriend followed her.
When they got to the parking area, they started talking and throwing a word that makes her
boyfriend stopped talking and just staring at her. With flowing tears coming down from her eyes
she said the most four heartbreaking words. "Let's break up" Phoebe said while crying.

She started running away leaving her ex-boyfriend dumbfounded.

After that scene, Shawn started walking like zombie. He continues his work fell like
nothing that he did not almost noticed they need to go home. Stacey is rushing toward him and
said she heard what happened. She asked if he wants a drink since they can go out because its
already past 5 o’clock.

Shawn agreed because he want to refresh his mind for a while and they started go to the
club. As they enter the nearest club, Shawn started drinking like hell and he told everything.

As he looked up, he felt a little dizzy. He roamed his eyes fighting the dancing lazy
lights. As he brings his eyes back to Stacey, he saw Phoebe at the face of his friend. He lowered
down his eyes on the lips of his friend thinking that it's Phoebe. He kissed her slowly making her
friend stopped and stare at him. He continues kissing her not minding the other people at the club
minding their own messy business. As the kissed goes by, Stacey responded and they shut they
eyes and the kiss goes deeper, they kissed hungrier.

Because of too much alcohol lingered to their body, Shawn is not on his right mind now.
He asked Stacey if she want to continue and she agreed. They went to the nearest hotel, and after
closing the door, he started kissing her neck up to her bosoms. He lay her at the bed and started
ripping all her clothes, together with the tiny pieced of undergarment.

They started kissing hungrily, while helping him taking all his clothes. He closed the
lights and the rest is history.

In the morning, Shawn waked up because hang over hit him. He sat up and looked
around, and stopped at the right side of his bed. He saw a naked girl sleeping peacefully. 'Shit.
What I Have done?' It was his girlfriend's best friend. He stood up and quickly stormed out at
the hotel.

After two weeks, Shawn forced to forget what happened last time. It was a mistake.

While he is busy, Stacey showed up. She said that if she wants to go out because she
needs to tell something important. He did not agree because he was afraid of what she will say.
 Days passed and she still convincing him to talked to her. And because Shawn was
already annoyed to her, he accepted her request. They agreed to talk at the left stair of the
building where no one is there and because its already too late.

They talked, and what is next really make his mind explode. "S-Shawn I'm p-
pregnant." Stacey said. Her tears were continue flowing while him, well his mind went blank
and he many thoughts starting to appear. Like what will happen to him, he still not ready to be a
father, and he still want to make his girlfriend back.

So, he told to her that it is not his. Maybe it’s from other guy. The girl went angry and
shouted at him. Still, Shawn continue telling to her that it was not him, and if she doesn't not
want the baby, it is better to abort it. He said that the woman he wanted to be a mother of her
children is not her. And started to walk out but before he steps his feet a creepy laugh started to
fill the areas. Before he faced the one who laughed everything went black.

On the other hand, while packing her, Georgia heard a creepy laugh and a loud sound of
breaking and something was fell. So, she hurried up, and saw something creepy and terrible.

Georgia saw his employee lying at the ground and dripping a bucket of blood from his
head. She looked up and saw a girl holding a vase and laughing creepily and then change to
crying then laugh and cry and laugh and cry again while walking back and forth and messing her
hair. She looked like a scary crazy bitch.

The manager tried to hide but what scares her is that she finds her. They stared to each
other for seconds with her trembling knees. The girl smirked and runaway, it was the same girl
she saw outside the supervisor's office.

She immediately calls the ambulance. As they got to emergency room, the doctor
announced that it was dead on arrival due to major head injury and more blood was loss to him.
Georgia call Phoebe to go to the St. Nicholas Hospital.

PHOEBE'S POV

While doing my dishes, I heard my phone ringing. I answered the phone, "Hello, who is-
--" I did not finish my word because my world suddenly stopped on what I have heard. I rush to
the door and wait for a taxi to come. As the taxi stopped in front of me, "Sir, at St. Nicholas
Hospital please" I said to the driver. I closed my eyes and prayed silently. "Lord, I hope Shawn
is safe, let him live, please" then my tears fell.

As soon as I got to the hospital, I rush myself to my manager. I asked what is happen and
what are we doing in front of morgue. And she told me everything what she saw. I shook my
head because of disbelief and sat weakly to the nearest chair. I stood up and left to the hospital
and went to the suspect behind of this shit.

I pressed the doorbell angrily and it opened by a guard. I rush at the room of the suspect
but after I opened the door, I became dumbfounded. I couldn't feel my feet because of what I
saw. It is the first time I went on this house and I got shocked on what I saw. The room was is
smelly like blood and the room was full of my pictures. It’s so scary because my pictures are full
of blood and a sign of being cut by blade.

I roamed my eyes and I saw at the corner spot a girl who is trembling, hugging a scary
European doll, covering a blood and murmuring something. She looked like a crazy shit.

I walked softly and I asked the girl why she did it. The girl looked up and smirk and then she
laughed after. That made me feel scared. The girl started babbling and she always said I will kill
you.
 I asked again and then the girl started to tell everything while crying. She said that she
planned everything, from the first day of her work, from not telling that she and her boyfriend
are officemate, from telling to the supervisor about their relationship, from what happened to her
and to her boyfriend. She planned all this thing. She just jealous of her. Maybe if she did not
introduce him from the very start, she will make her mine and not hers. She told to her that she
got jealous because she got no attention from her boyfriend.

She was happy that they broke up already because she can make a move freely. She told
lies from him about being pregnant. But the girl stopped talking when I slapped her.

"What did I do you, to make me feel like this? Why are you doing this, I treated you like
my sister and yet this is how you gave to me? Y-you k-killed S-Shawn!! You're a crazy
monster bitch!!" I said angrily.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, I swear! It’s not my fault. I-I'm not a killer, I'M NOT!!" she
shouted at me.

"Ha?! Sorry? Not your fault? Can you hear yourself? If you did not plan everything, if you
did not lie to us, this will not happen. You said you hate betrayer, but you are just like
them! You betrayed us! Are you even real to us of you are just like a shitty fake bitch?!" I
exclaimed at her.

That's make my best friend, yes, my best of friend, became dumbfounded. She said sorry
but I just walkout to the room. Stacey was taken by the police and take her to mental hospital.

Stacey was diagnosed with personality disorder. Ha, I did not know that my friend is ill, that she
is crazy, my G.

After what to the house, I went to the funeral of Shawn. She cried really hard. "I'm sorry
Shawn, if I did not choose my career and did not broke up with you, this will not happen to
you, I-I'm s-so s-sorry."

3RD PERSON'S POV

After a week, Phoebe decided to go to abroad to leave and forget the memories behind
the past.

But before she goes to her departure’s gate, she visited her best friend to say goodbye and
sorry for not knowing about her ill, and then she went to the cemetery to visited her ex-boyfriend
and say goodbye.

As the clerk started announcing her flight she stood up and sigh and started closing the
book of her bitter truth life. She looked around and make a bitter smile and closed her eyes.

'This is the end of the beginning of my life, and I will make sure to open the next chapter of my
journey with a great and memorable memories, I hope no more deadly lies and crazy secrets'

She started walking and accidentally bumped into someone, as she looked up and she
slightly covering her eyes from the light, she saw a good-looking man offering a hand to her.
"I'm sorry, Miss, let me help you." As she accepted it, she thinks that it is the start of the new
chapter of her life.
