Drawing:
“Drawing is a graphic language
used by engineers, technicians and
marketing person for communication
involved in industry and business.”
TYPES OF DRAWING:
Drawings are of
two types,
(1)Projection Drawings; orthography, 2D
(2)Perspective Drawings, 3D
 V-BLOCK

Material :
Material is cast iron (C.I) and
scale is full.
USES OF V-BLOCK:
V-Block Is used for
cutting purpose. Example, cutting of
T.iron rod. The V-block keeps cylindrical
and spherical things perfectly centered
and prevents work on them from
becoming out of round.

IN V-BLOCK:
H= 8 cm , L= 10 cm
W= 4 cm
 U-BLOCK:

Material:
The material is cast iron (C.I)
and scale is full.
USES:
(1)- U-Block is used for holding
purposes.
(2)- U-Block is used for bending
purposes.

IN U-Block:
L= 8.9 cm , w= 10 cm
H= 4.4cm
 ROLLED STEEL JOIST

Material:
The material is Mild Steel
and scale is full.
USES:
Rolled Steel Joist is used foe
horizontal supporting.
For example,
(1) Horizontal supporting
(2) Track of Railway lines
(3) T. Iron and Gader
(4) In bridges to support

It is called Rolled Steel Joist because

the edges of Rolled Steel Joist is
Rolled and Second reason is that
the machine at which Rolled Steel
Joist is made is made is Rolled.
IN Rolled Steel Joist:
L= 9.6 cm , w=8.2 cm
H= 15 cm

Sample block is used for holding

and bending.
 BRASS STEP

Material:
The material is Brass and scale
is full.
USES:
The uses of Brass step are
It is used for bearings and bushing in
the fans.
To avoid wear and tear in bearings.

In Brass Step:
L= 10 cm , w= 7 cm
H= 4.5 cm
CRANK SHAFT

Material:
The material of crank shaft
is carbon steel and scale is 1:3.
USES:
Crank Shaft is used to convert
circulatory motion into vibratory motion.

Crank Shaft is used for Power

Transmission. (In motors)
MONKEY FOR SCRIBING BLOCK

Material:
The material is mild steel
(M.S) and scale is full.
USES:
It is used to joining of two pipes at
90 angle.
It is also used to bend the pipes at
different angles.
For example,
(1)-The kick of motorcycle (Bike)
(2)-It is used where two pipes are joined
whose diameter is different.
In Monkey for Scribing block:
L= 10.5 cm , w= 6 cm
H= 6 cm
 GLANDS FOR STUFFING BOX:

Material:
The material of Glands FOR
Stuffing Box is Brass and scale is full.
USES:
In industry, Glands for Stuffing Box
is used where the leakage takes place.
(To avoid from leakage Glands for
Stuffing Box is used).
SIMPLE JOURNAL BEARING

Material:
Journal bearing consists of a
Material which is durable, low friction,
resistant to elevated temperatures and
corrosion resistant. A common journal
bearing consist of hardened steel shaft
and softer bronze bushing.
USES:
They are compact and lightweight
and have a load carrying capacity. They
used in railroading. They used in
locomotives.
