”All right, let's check together. Repeat after me once”

Present Perfect is often used to talk about actions which happened at unspecified times before now. The
exact time is not important. You cannot use Present Perfect with specific time expressions such as:
yesterday, one year ago, last week, when I was a child, when I lived in Hawaii, at that moment, that day, etc.
But, you can use Present Perfect with unspecific expressions such as: ever, never, once, many times, several
times, before, already, yet, etc.
Today, we will learn one of the most common topics of present perfect, which is experience. We often use
present perfect to talk about personal experiences, just like the phrases above.

Native's Mind
Have you taken a shower yet? VS. Have you already taken a shower?
Both “Have you taken a shower yet?” and “Have you already taken a shower?”are asking if the person has
taken a shower or not. But they have slightly different shades of meanings.
“Have you taken a shower yet?” is used when you are simply asking if the person has taken a shower.
"Have you already taken a shower?" is used when you may actually be surprised if the person has taken a
shower, which means you are not really expecting that the person has taken a shower.

We use the Present Perfect Continuous tense to show that something started in the past and has continued
up until now. "For half an hour", "for six months," and "since October" are examples of durations which can
be used with the Present Perfect Continuous.

You can also use the Present Perfect Continuous tense without a specific duration.
Without the duration, the tense has a more general meaning of "lately." We often use the words "lately" or
"recently" to emphasize this meaning.
