MUNICIPAL PEACE AND ORDER COUNCIL

RESOLUTION NO. 19-03

A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING LEILANI D. UGALI, EMILY A. BALDERAS AND

ANICETO NANUD AS REPRESENTATIVES TO THE PEOPLE’S LAW
ENFORCEMENT BOARD OF UYUGAN, BATANES

WHEREAS, Section 43 of RA No. 6975 otherwise known as "An Act establishing the Philippine
National Police under a reorganized Department of Interior and Local Government and for other
purposes," prescribes that there shall be created by the Sangguniang Panglungsod/Bayan in every
Municipality and City a People's Law Enforcement Board;

WHEREAS, Section 43 of RA No. 6975 as amended by Title VI Sections 66 – 69 of RA 8551,

provides that the People's Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) shall be composed of: (a) Any member
of the Sangguniang Panglungsod/Bayan chosen by his respective sanggunian; (b) any Punong
Barangay of the City or Municipality concerned chosen by the Liga ng mga Barangay and (c) Three
other members who shall be chosen by the Local Peace and Order Council from among the
respected members of the community known for their probity and integrity;

WHEREAS, the People's Law Enforcement Board shall have jurisdiction to hear and decide citizen's
complaints or cases filed before it against erring officers and members of the PNP;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Peace and Order Council of Uyugan, Batanes during its 3rd Quarter Joint
MPOC and MADAC Meeting has chosen the following persons known for their probity and integrity
as representatives to the People's law Enforcement Board:
Mrs. Leilanie D. Ugali - Principal Uyugan Elementary School
Mrs. Emily A. Balderas - Milagrosa Multi-Purpose Cooperative / Lady Member
Mr. Aniceto Nanud - MAFC Chairman / NGO Representative

WHEREFORE, on the motion of Hon. Jerwin Joji N. Cobico duly seconded by the body, it was

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to designate Mrs. Leilanie D. Ugali, Mrs. Emily A. Balderas and
Mr. Aniceto Nanud as representatives to the People's Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) as mandated
by Section 43 of RA 6975.

RESOLVED FINALLY, to authorize the Department of the Interior and Local Government - Uyugan
to transcribe this resolution and furnish copies to all authorities concerned for their information.
