RESOLUTION NO. 19-01

A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE INITIATIVES OF THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL

POLICE UYUGAN MUNICIPAL POLICE STATION AND THE DEPARTMENT OF
EDUCATION SCHOOLS DIVISION OF BATANES – UYUGAN ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL

WHEREAS, RA No. 9165 otherwise known as "The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,"
declares as a policy of the State and the government to pursue an intensive and unrelenting
campaign against the trafficking and use of dangerous drugs and other similar substances through
an integrated system of planning, implementation and enforcement of anti-drug abuse policies,
programs and projects;

WHEREAS, DILG MC 2012-94 was issued in order to Strengthen the City, Municipal and Barangay
Anti-Drug Abuse Councils in addressing efficiently this menace and that all efforts of concerned
agencies be coordinated in all stages from the pre-operation, during and post-operations of the
drive to eliminate if not totally eradicate the problem;

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Uyugan has been declared and has sustained its status as a Drug-
Cleared Municipality since June 2017 due to the concerned efforts of various member agencies in
the MADAC particularly the DepEd School Division of Batanes – Uyugan and PNP Uyugan MPS;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council endorses the initiatives of the DepEd School
Division of Batanes – Uyugan and PNP Uyugan Municipal Police Station and that these be sustained
and be provided with support in order to continuously maintain their efforts for a Drug-Free
Uyugan;

WHEREFORE, on the motion of duly seconded by , it was

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to endorse to the concerned agencies the initiatives of the
DepEd School Division of Batanes – Uyugan and PNP Uyugan Municipal Police Station for proper
recognition and acknowledgement.

RESOLVED FINALLY, to transcribe this resolution and furnish copies to all authorities concerned
for their information.
