1. It’s a type of connective tissue like muscle, ligament,


skin, bone, and cartilage.


2. It’s a “Biological Membrane”


3. It is connected, attached and surrounded each and
every structure of the body, e.g.

• Skin to muscle,
• Muscle to muscle,
• Myo filaments to filaments,
• Muscle to tendon,
• Tendon to bone

4. It creates a intrinsic “WEB” network from cell to Skin
in our body.


5. It’s highly innervated.


6. It’s has got highly “Sensitive Signaling System”.


7. It can transfer, resist, assist and as well absorb the
force.


8. It can be affected by physical, physiological and
emotional imbalances.


9. Healthy fascia relies on movement and hydration.

10. Movement / Exercise begins to hydrate and free the
superficial layers of the fascia.


11. Damage of fascia caused by many factors in our daily
life, including

• Poor postural habits,
• Stress-induced muscular tension,
• Limited movement,
• Injury and
• Dehydration.

12. It can cause Velcro-like adhesions to form within the
fascia sticking muscles together and restricting their ability
to perform their individual functions.
