KWENTO:USL SHS Film Festival 2019 features inspiring stories of our Senior High School students and

serves as platform to all young aspiring film makers in showcasing their talents.

It has the following objectives:


1. To inspire and encourage students to be competent producers of media and information
2. To enhance students’ talent and creativity in videography and video editing
3. To help students gain an understanding of all the technical and performance aspects of making a
movie
4. To develop students to be creative and critical thinkers as well as responsible users and competent
producers of media and information.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. Each class shall have 1 entry of short film for the KWENTO: USL-SHS Film Festival 2019.
2. Each entry shall have 30 seconds trailer.
3. The entry is open for the following genre and topic.

Genres: Topics:
Drama Family
Documentary Hope
Narrative Friendship
Comedy Love
Sci-Fi Inspiration
Animation Childhood

4. Entry shall feature Buhay Luisyano revolving in the CORE values of the University. (Please see
Reference for Louisian Core Value- pg.4)
5. The film shall last for minimum of 5 minutes and maximum of 8 minutes including the opening
and credits of the film. Setting shall be done inside the university only.
6. Content must not:
i. promote illegal behavior;
ii. support racial, religious, sexual or other invidious prejudice;
iii. advocate sexual or violent exploitation;
iv. violate rights established by law or agreement;
v. invade the privacy of any person
7. Software to be used in editing shall be open.
8. The music to be used for the video must either be original or properly cited.
9. All entries must include the event logo at the end of the video which will be provided by the MIL
teachers.

10. All entries to be submitted must follow the specifications below: ·
 The video should be submitted in 1 DVD copy in mp4 format.
 The Video resolution should be at least 720p (1280X720)
 DVD Cover must contain the following information
- Entry Title
- Grade and Section
- Director’s Name
11. Submission of entries shall be on April 8, 2019 until 6:00 PM

SELECTION OF WINNERS

1. A reviewing process will take place, in which members of the board will view all submitted
entries.
2. Excellence of the entries shall be judged on the following criteria:
