Report on Industrial Visit to Spain

I.V. to Spain was a great learning experience for all of us. We departed from
Mumbai International Airport on 13th November and reached Barcelona on 14th
November.

Our daily schedule had atleast 1 Company Visit.

14th November – Travel to Tourist Business School for a lecture.

Tourist Business School is a Management Institute located in Barcelona. We went


for a lecture on Human Psychology. The duration of lecture was 1.5 hours. There
was a small workshop conducted to identify different human perceptions on
changing situations. After the session we called it a day.

15th November – Visit to SEAT Factory

SEAT is a Car Manufacturing Company based in Spain. It produces and assembles


four-wheelers and supplies it to other Automobile companies for finishing.

A wholly owned factory with no labour force and ONLY Robots manufacturing was
a first time experience for all of us.

16th November – No Company Visit

It was a day of rest and sightseeing. We visited the famous Barcelona Football
Club, Camp Nou.
After lunch, we headed towards La Barceloneta Beach and then finally La Rambla
street for shopping and also enjoying the shivering single degree weather.

17th November – Bye Bye BARCELONA!!

We finally departed heading towards Madrid – The Capital of Spain.

In between we took a lunch break at the beautiful heaven city of Zaragoza. It was
a total 8 hours journey from Barcelona to Madrid.

And finally Welcome to Madrid… Good Night!!

18th November – Sightseeing

We visited the famous Royal Palace, the official residence of Royal Spainish
Family.

A huge palace of more than 3,400 rooms and 1,35,000 square meters is the Pride
of Spain.

We then visited the Museum having ancient artefacts of Spanish culture and its
history.

There we took a selfie with the Policia CNP, guarding the Royal Family of Spain.

19th November – Visit to El Mundo Co. and Las Moradas De San Martin

El Mundo is a local newspaper company in Madrid. Daily they print around


1,20,000 copies of newspaper and magazines in Spanish.

We were given complimentary El Mundo Newspapers.

Then after lunch at Indian restaurant, we headed for a Wineyard company, Las
Moradas. There they explained us how to identify good quality Wineyard plants.
The factory was located at a hill station on outskirts of Madrid with a temperature
of -2C. Extreme cold!

20th November – Bye Bye Spain…

We headed for an early morning flight to Mumbai via Abu Dhabi from Madrid
International Airport.

All the sweet memories, we will always cherish.
