A short description of the transportation system:
From the person we’ve interviewed, (Mrs. Pallangeo) she said that any transportation can
do except those heavy loaded trucks or that big enough because they only have one narrow way.
So, as possible, motorcycles, van, fx, etc. can do but on the National road, they can ride a bus
already there.

A short description of the communication system:
According to Mrs. Pallangeo, the Barangay secretary of Napua, Sabangan, their means of
communication that is usually used is cellular phone. There are radio and televisions but there are
only a few who have them. For the daily newspapers, not all of them can avail because for some,
they can only buy it when they go to Abatan 90 or in Bontoc.

A short description of the education conditions of the community:
The community has an elementary school only. So, after grade six, they have to go nearby
Barangays such as Namatec and Mabaay for secondary education. Most of them, after graduating high
school, they stop because of financial mattersso most of them don’t go to college. Out of 100%, there
would only be 30% pursuing college but unfortunately, 10% of that 30% would finish their bachelor’s
degree. Financial problems and early marriage are common reasons.

A short description of the health conditions of the community:
The community has a clinic. But according to Mrs. Pallangeo, since January, there’s no nurse or
midwife coming already to their Barangay. So, in case of medical check-ups, they flew off to Namatec.

Describe the nature of your work/task:
The group has planned on Beautification Project, Literacy Program, Medical Service, and
Nutrition Program. Under beautification Program, we are to offer clean up drive to the community, plant
trees/flowers, put some signage and look for something to beautify through paint. In Literacy Program,
we are to inform the kids in the elementary school about the basics of computers (if they has a
computers), nourish their brain about their food intake, and teach them the basic first aids. In case of
financial matters, we are to ask their barangay officials.
