th 13 January Build a new website for my final major project, making tabs for context, research, problem solving and communication, planning and pre- production, technical skills and production, evaluation and exhibition. 14th January I will begin my project concept which will consist of my centre name and number, my name the project title, what my project will be (short film/music video/documentary), rational, concept and evaluation. And also complete my bibliography which will cover all the websites/videos and people and their reference. 15th January I will make and in-depth production schedule covering everything I will do from start to finish every day and what I have to do for it. I will also create my three ideas which I will send out on a survey, then collect the answers and make a write up on the response, then write up a the most popular idea in full and developed. 16th January Make my own brief, catering to the themes of my project, and including my final idea and the details and guidelines to the competition I will be entering. I will also complete my first weekly blog, analysing the work I have done in the past week and what I still need to do. Week 2: th 20 January I will plan my research and look into what and how I will research for my project. 21 – 23rd January Start my secondary research, writing up in-depth analyse on previous short and full-length feature films on topic, to see how a successful film looks and what I need to try and achieve as well as change in my production idea. 24th January Write up my second weekly blog including what I have done in the past week and what I still ned to do and how can I improve that. Week 3: 27th January After analysis in books, films, video guides and websites/articles, I will write up my idea again with changes that my research has helped my idea change for the good. 28th January I will begin my target audience research, which is where I will write up what is my target audience based on similar past productions and competitions. 29th January I will also send out a survey including my idea fully developed finding the ideal target audience. 30th January Finish my third weekly blog analysing my week with what I have done good and bad and what I still need to work on. Week 4: rd 3 February Collect survey responses 4th February I will do a full write up on my survey from the responses I receive and conclude on my target audience bracket. 5th February I will film a focus group asking questions such as; If they like my idea? What’s their favourite part and what would they change? What ideal locations? 6th February And complete my week 4 weekly blog talking about how my research has helped me and changed my idea at all. Week 5: th 10 February I will make another survey which I will send out to 40-50 people n my chosen target audience on social media giving multiple perspectives from a variety of people, do a write up the responses that I received. 11th February I will film a target audience focus group giving a more authentic point of view. 12th February Edit and upload focus groups onto website. 13th February Write up 5th weekly blog talking about surveys have helped my productions Week 6: th 17 February Half-Term (Catch up on work) 18th February Half-Term (Catch up on work) 19th February Half-Term (Catch up on work) 20th February Half-Term (Catch up on work) 21st February 6th weekly blog to be complete Week 7: rd 23 February I will start to do my secondary research for conventions, looking into specific camera shots, the sound. 24th February Lighting and music in films and how it is done well and what I will do incorporate in my film. 25th February Create an infographic, showing all the techniques that I have looked into from the day before. 26th February Watch demonstrations on lighting and camera setups being done successfully and that I can use in my film and try in practice shoots. Write up week 7 of my weekly blogs Week 8: st 1 March Practice shoots 2nd March Combining both my primary and secondary research I will look into the best narrative structure, sending out a survey in what the best narrative structure for my storyline would be, then choose from my research and survey responses a chosen narrative structure. 3rd March From research, I will build character profiles, and will then audition actors for my productions. As well as making my location recces. 4th March Make my props list. Also do my sound research and look into music used in films and how I can successfully use it in my production. Write up my 8th weekly blog explaining how my planning went during the week. Week 9: 8th March Write out a rough 1st draft of the script 9th March Create the storyboards for the production. 10th March Finalise script, re-write if need be making it as good as possible. 11th March Make sure that I have confirmation from all crew and actors. Week 10: As well as crew list, contingency plan. While also completing my 9th weekly blog. 15th March And up to date production schedule. 16th March Write up any issues or problems I have encountered during my project, and how I settled the issue and what the result ended up being. 17th March Go over my work checking that I have everything including rough practices as this allows me for to show my development through the project. 18th March Write up my week 10 weekly blog. Week 11: 22nd March Begin preparation for pitch 23rd March Create a power-point and que cards for pitch. 24th March Practice pitch too 7 minutes, whole day 25th March Pitch to class idea, including context, competition, actors, locations, price. Then upload video of pitch to website. And do 11th weekly blog, reviewing my weekly blog.
