Indonesia is a maritime country as well as an agricultural country with fertile land with 2 seasons, namely the rainy season and the dry season. As an agrarian country, Indonesia has several regions as food barns, so it becomes a program to be able to carry out food self-sufficiency. Food self-sufficiency is a government program that is currently being intensely promoted, so that Indonesia can be independent in providing food by the end of 2019. In the rainy season food plants usually do not need to be watered because they have enough rainwater. While in the dry season the plants must be watered with regularly in accordance with soil moisture conditions. In today's globalization we are inseparable from developments and technology. Therefore we must be able to master technology. And compete with other countries. Nowadays ease and efficiency of time and energy are the main considerations of humans in carrying out activities. From time to time we are faced with technological developments that are so rapid, so as to make human work easier. therefore we are trying to make a plant watering system automatically. Where in this tool the author uses a soil moisture sensor and arduino unos as the main control device in the tool. This tool is made to function to water the peanut plants automatically using a sensor of soil moisture and Arduino Uno. based on soil PH that has been set according to the needs of peanut plants.
I.2 Problem Formulation
How to design an automatic plant watering device based on the detection of soil moisture sensors with an Arduino Microcontroller ?.
I.3 Study Objective
The purpose of making this tool is to make arduino-based automatic watering plants.
I.4 Benefits of Research
The output that can be generated from solving the problem in this study.
1. Help users such as farmers, housewives and park managers in watering.
2. Controlling the use of water, tp be more effective and not wasted. 3. Save time in watering plants.
