Scene 1
Wife : Hello honey, I have something to talk with you. Do you have some time?

Husband : Hello my lovely wife. Oh sure, anything for you. What is it that you want to
tell me?

Wife : I was wondering if you would like to spend time together since we have
been busy lately for our lovely son, Khairul. Besides, our son’s birthday is
just around the corner. So, I think this school holiday is the best time to
celebrate it.

Husband : Oh, that’s a good idea! I agree with you. Thus, I also want to take a rest
from work to spend a quality time with our precious family. So, tomorrow we
should apply for a leave okay?

Wife : Sure honey, I will ask for a leave from my boss.

Husband : What about the destination? Do you have some places in your mind?

Wife : Well, I have surveyed several travel agencies on the internet and I am
interested with one of the travel agencies named Fun For You agency. So,
tomorrow evening, let’s go to the agency.

Husband : Wow, what a hadrworking wife! You even have done a research about it.
Okay let’s go tomorrow then. I will pick you up from work and straight to their
place.

Wife : Okay, honey. I will wait for you tomorrow.

Scene 2
Travel Agent: Assalamualaikum and good evening. Please take a seat.

Wife : Waalaikumusalam and good evening too. Thank you.

Travel Agent: Welcome. How can I help you? Oh, let me introduce myself. My name is
Amni and I am one of the travel agents here and I am ready to serve
anything for you. That is our motto, Anything For You.
Wife : Oh, nice to meet you Miss Amni. I am Farha and this is my husband, Haikal.

Travel Agent: Nice to meet you too Mr. and Mrs. Haikal. Both of you look so good
together.

Husband : Thank you, Miss Amni.

Travel Agent: You’re welcome. Okay, how can I assist you?

Wife : We are looking for a holiday destination that is suitable for our family. We
have a ten years old son and we are planning to take him along for a
vacation to celebrate his birthday.

Travel Agent: Oh, you come to the right place Mrs. Haikal. Here is the catalogue and the
brochure that you can refer to. As you can see we have several places that
are suitable for a family trip with a kid such as Langkawi, Mount Kinabalu
and Singapore. May I know, what kind of holidays would you like to have?

Wife : I am thinking of a holiday that we can visit to historical places and learn their
culture.

Travel Agent: Ouh, in that case, it would be great if your family go to Singapore because it
is a well-known country with the unique historical places and different
culture than in Malaysia.

Wife : Absolutely, that’s what I like. Besides, we have never been there before. So,
Miss Amni, what kind of activities we can do in Singapore?

Travel Agent: Okay. In Singapore, you can visit many historical places such as Kranji War
Memories which honours those who were killed in the line of duty during
World War II. There are also The Battle Box which is a very interesting
historical place in Singapore. Apart from that, Singapore has Sultan Mosque
which was built in 1824 and it was the biggest mosque of the country with
some religion importance and famous historical monuments.

Wife : Wow, there are so many places to go! It seems amazing.

Husband : That’s a good idea but darling our son, Khairul is interested to go to the
historical places and learn their culture?

Wife : Hmm, I think Khairul doesn’t really into it but he can gain knowledge once a
while.

Husband : Ouh, I see your point honey, but I am looking forward from Khairul’s point of
view since it is his 10th birthday celebration.

Travel Agent: Don’t worry Sir. There is a place you can visit which suits a child. It is The
Mint Museum of Toys that boasts of more than 50 000 vintage toys of which
some are as old as 120 years. Definitely, the museum is a top contender
among quirky historical places in Singapore. Moreover, you can visit the
Universal Studio Singapore.

Wife : I think Khairul would probably enjoy visiting these places. May I know the
accommodation like the hotel, price and the facilities that are provided?
Travel Agent: Sure, the budget per person is RM1100 and in Singapore you will stay at the
3 to 4 star hotel and the room is very comfortable with a double, family and
single bed which is more than enough for your family and the room facilities
equipped with air-conditioner, shower, television and internet connection.
Apart from that, the hotel also provides a bar, restaurant and swimming
pool. It suits your son so much since kids nowadays can’t live without
internet.

Husband : That’s so true but it’s okay because we just want Khairul to spend quality
time with us instead of surfing the internet. Besides, the budget per person
is too expensive for me.

Wife : Oh really, Miss Amni could you give us a discount? It is for our son’s
birthday.

Travel Agent: Sorry Mr. and Mrs. Haikal, but it is a fixed price but I assure you that this trip
will be the most exciting trip in your life if you are willing to spend more.

Husband : Hmm, it seems exciting but the price is too expensive from the budget plus
in the Universal Studio Singapore it will cost us more.

Wife : It’s okay honey. Miss Amni. Is there any possible package according to our
budget?

Travel Agent: Let me see, but may I know the budget per person that you estimate?

Husband : The price that is lower than RM1000 would be nice.

Travel Agent: Okay, anything for you Sir Haikal. So, here is the suggestion which is Mount
Kinabalu and Langkawi which both cost RM800 per person.

Husband : Wow, I like to go to Mount Kinabalu. It has been a long time since I’m
thinking of a cooler and tropical climate and it suits our budget.

Wife : It looks nice and would be best for us too since we have been tired of
working to enjoy the nature. What type of accommodation that the agency
provides in Mount Kinabalu?

Travel Agent: In Mount Kinabalu we only provide tents that suits a family since it is an
adventurous type of holiday.

Wife : What? Ouh, there is no chalet we can check in or a restaurant there?

Travel Agent: Yeah, there is no chalet and restaurant because this trip is designated for a
fully adventurous holiday.

Husband : Ouh, that will be amazing if we want to feel the most adventurous holidays
ever and if we are still young and energetic.

Wife : Yeah, besides we must think our son’s safety. He is only 10 years old. It
would be dangerous for him to hike even if we are with him.

Husband : I agree with you, we have to wait for another 5 years at least to bring him to
a place like this.
Travel Agent: Don’t worry Mr. and Mrs. Haikal. We have the Langkawi package that I
guarantee will not waste your time and money but give you the best holidays
ever.

Wife : The motto suits you well. You are so understanding. So, what kind of
activities that we can enjoy there?

Travel Agent: You can do a lot of things such as jet-skiing, parasailing, banana boating,
snorkelling, diving and kayaking along the tranquil Kilim River as well as
island-hopping and eagle feeding excursions in Pulau Dayang Bunting.

Husband : Wow! I like to try all of those things with Khairul. Is there any beach safety
like life jackets, band aids and the beach guard?

Travel Agent: Definitely, we have all of the safety steps. Don’t worry your safety is our
priority. In addition, we also have classes for children to learn how to surf
correctly to have fun on the sunny beaches peacefully and safe.

Husband : Wow, That’s so exciting! I also haven’t had surfing for a long time.

Wife : Hmm, I started to think that Langkawi is more exciting for our vacation.

Husband : Yeah, of course and it only costs us RM800 per person which is cheaper
than our budget. I think this is more interesting. Khairul will enjoy doing
those activities. Don’t you think so darling?

Wife : Yes, I couldn’t agree with you more. Miss Amni, what about the hotel?

Travel Agent: Your family will stay at 3 stars hotel with a double and a family room.

Wife : Ouh, it suits us since we are going together with our child. What about the
room facilities?

Travel Agent: The room is equipped with shower, television and air-conditioner.

Wife : Lastly, what about the hotel facilities?

Travel Agent: The hotel has a bar, restaurant and a free parking section which your car is
guarded.

Husband : That’s sound convincing.

Travel Agent: Yeah, right.

Husband : That’s not bad. Okay, let’s go with this. Do you agree with me honey?

Wife : No doubt about it. Let’s book it now.

Travel Agent: Okay, nice. How would you like to pay? In cash or by credit card?

Husband : In cash.

Travel Agent: When would you like to go for the holiday?

Husband : Some time during the last week of November because we both managed to
 take leave on the same date.

Travel Agent: How long are you going to stay?

Wife : We would like to stay for a week.

Travel Agent: Okay, we are good now. Soon, we will inform the details. Please leave your
number here. Is there anything else I could help you with?

Husband : That’s all for now, thank you!

Travel Agent: You’re welcome.
