Given the uncertain circumstances surrounding COVID-19, the University of North Florida is offering

students the option to move their Summer admission term to the Fall 2020 term. UNF is dedicated to
helping our students during these unprecedented times.

 Option 1: Move admission to Fall 2020 — To move their admission to the Fall
2020 term: Please have the student complete this request form
at http://bit.ly/fallrequest.

 Option 2: Keep admission to begin in Summer 2020* — To keep their application
in the Summer 2020 term: Please have the student complete the request
form http://bit.ly/unfsummer2020.

*Our Summer B term is still set to start on June 22 and will be remote
(online) only.
The deadline to move a student’s admission to the Fall 2020 term is May 1, 2020.

We know with everything that is going on right now, it might be hard to keep track of what students
need to do next. Here are a few things they can be thinking about or looking into from home:

 Financial Aid —We encourage all students to submit the Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FASFA) to be considered for need-based aid. Students starting
in Summer should complete the 2019-2020 FASFA and the 2020-2021 FASFA.
Students starting in the Fall should submit the 2020-2021 FASFA.

 Housing — Housing and Residence Life has suspended the ability to submit or alter
contracts for any future terms. As UNF finalizes policies for Summer and Fall 2020,
Housing will reactivate contracts appropriately.

 New Student Orientation — We are still planning to host New Student Orientation.
The Office of New Student Orientation will be reaching out to students regarding any
changes that will be made to the Orientation program.

Don’t stress, we are here to help you and your students each step between now and their first day as an
Osprey! Email us at admissions@unf.edu or text ‘UNF Cares’ to 877-877 to speak with an
admissions counselor.

Sincerely,
Terry
