94-AL-UE 1
INTRODUCTION
Situation
You will shortly graduate from Form Seven, and you have decided to start in a job
rather than continue studying. You are looking for a challenging job with career
prospects, and so you have decided to attend a forum on job opportunities, which is
intended for school leavers.
The Forum is divided into two parts, and you will be taking notes, using the note
headings provided, to enable you to report back to other interested students in your
school. In the question-and-answer session in Part II, the speakers will interrupt
each other, and the information will not always come in order.
Part I
In this part, the speakers will be introduced and will, in turn, talk about job
opportunities in their field.
You will now have 5 minutes to familiarize yourself with the note headings for Part I
before the forum begins.
At the end of Part I you will have 5 minutes to tidy up your answers and then a further
3 minutes to familiarize yourself with the headings for Part II.
At the end of Part II you will have 10 minutes to tidy up your answers.
