While they’re closely related concepts, morals refer mainly to guiding principles, and ethics refer to

specific rules and actions, or behaviors. A moral precept is an idea or opinion that’s driven by a desire
to be good. An ethical code is a set of rules that defines allowable actions or correct behavior.

Morals are the prevailing standards of behavior that enable people to live cooperatively in groups.
Moral refers to what societies sanction as right and acceptable.
Most people tend to act morally and follow societal guidelines. Morality often requires that people
sacrifice their own short-term interests for the benefit of society. People or entities that are indifferent
to right and wrong are considered amoral, while those who do evil acts are considered immoral.
While some moral principles seem to transcend time and culture, such as fairness, generally
speaking, morality is not fixed. Morality describes the particular values of a specific group at a specific
point in time. Historically, morality has been closely connected to religious traditions, but today its
significance is equally important to the secular world. For example, businesses and government
agencies have codes of ethics that employees are expected to follow.
*
Morality may refer to the standards that a person or a group has about what is right and wrong, or
good and evil. Accordingly, moral standards are those concerned with or relating to human behavior,
especially the distinction between good and bad (or right and wrong) behavior.

Moral standards involve the rules people have about the kinds of actions they believe are morally
right and wrong, as well as the values they place on the kinds of objects they believe are morally
good and morally bad. Some ethicists equate moral standards with moral values and moral principles.

I think that 'high' moral standards are just those that you demand of yourself in total isolation from
what other people do.

Most people are happy to achieve a sort of average level of morality where they do not stand out as a
bad person. A few good deeds once in a while just to keep things ticking over. A high moral standard
demands that one is constantly listening to that internal voice which, if you listen, always tells us what
is wrong and what is right, and acting upon the instructions it gives you.

High moral standards are where you always do what you think is right, not what you can get away
with.

Non-moral standards refer to rules that are unrelated to moral or ethical considerations. Either these

standards are not necessarily linked to morality or by nature lack ethical sense. Basic examples of
non-moral standards include rules of etiquette, fashion standards, rules in games, and various house
rules.

Technically, religious rules, some traditions, and legal statutes (i.e. laws and ordinances) are non-
moral principles, though they can be ethically relevant depending on some factors and contexts.

Moral dilemmas are situations in which the decision-maker must consider two or more moral values
or duties but can only honor one of them; thus, the individual will violate at least one important
moral concern, regardless of the decision.

Epistemic moral dilemmas involve situations wherein two or more moral requirements conflict with
each other and that the moral agent hardly knows which of the conflicting moral requirements takes
precedence over the other. In other words, the moral agent here does not know which option is
morally right or wrong.
Ontological moral dilemmas, on the other hand, involve situations wherein two or more moral
requirements conflict with each other, yet neither of these conflicting moral requirements overrides
each other. This is not to say that the moral agent does not know which moral requirement is stronger
than the other. The point is that neither of the moral requirements is stronger than the other; hence,
the moral agent can hardly choose between the conflicting moral requirements.
A self-imposed moral dilemma is caused by the moral agent’s wrongdoings.
World-imposed moral dilemma, on the other hand, means that certain events in the world place
the agent in a situation of moral conflict.
Obligation dilemmas are situations in which more than one feasible action is obligatory,
while prohibition dilemmas involve cases in which all feasible actions are forbidden.
single agent dilemma, the agent “ought, all things considered, to do A, ought, all things considered,
to do B, and she cannot do both A and B”. In other words, the moral agent is compelled to act on two
or more equally the same moral options but she cannot choose both.
multi-person dilemma, on the other hand, “…the situation is such that one agent, P1, ought to do  A,
a second agent, P2, ought to do B, and though each agent can do what he ought to do, it is not
possible both for P1 to do A and P2 to do B.”

Fire hit a warehouse in a plastics plant in Pandacan, Manila, on Saturday, February 1

The Manila Public Information Office identified the warehouse, located in Tomas Claudio Street, as a
plastics plant of the San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation. The fire started in the warehouse
past 10 am, reached the 5th alarm past 11 am, and was minutes later raised to Task Force Bravo.
The huge blaze caused a portion of the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3, which is under construction, to
collapse. The blaze was declared under control at aroun 1:52 pm. Idineklarang "fire out" ang sunog

"It's a portion of Skyway Stage 3 parapet that was damaged. Stage 3 is still under construction and
therefore, not operational. We are still assessing the extent of damage," ani Ochoa sa pahayag.

San Miguel Corporation said in its initial assessment the fire affected approximately 300 meters of the
Skyway Stage 3 project which was expected to be completed by March this year. It will connect the
South Luzon and North Luzon expressways.

Both SMC and authorities are still assessing the amount of damage to Skyway Stage 3.

However, SMC assured reconstruction and rebulding will resume at the "soonest possible time."
