Instructions:

1. Go to the text book on page 40 and


41 and review the rules for cause and effect (Also check the cause and effect given in our last
class)
2. Write a short paragraph where you describe a sequence of situations describing cause and
effect relationships

R) Chris, a 20-year-old, went out on a Saturday night to a party with his friends . After a couple of
hours and with a high consumption of alcohol (cause). He decided to drive his father's car, but lost
control of the vehicle in a curve and hit a tree (effect).

One day little Timmy had to go to the supermarket with his mom. When they are getting out of the
car, Timmy's mother kept her wallet on the seat, due to this, when they paid for their purchases,
they did not have to do it. While at home, Timmy felt bad because he had eaten a lot of candy at
the store. After this, Timmy went out to play soccer with his neighbors all afternoon and,
consequently, arrived home exhausted and very hungry. In the evening, Timmy's mother prepared
him a hot drink and medications to relieve fatigue, as a result of this, the next day Timmy woke
up much better.
