ADVENTURE ACADEMY

NEWSLETTER
APRIL 2020

Greetings Adventure Academy Families,

April 10
I am writing to you with a sense of hope, optimism, and love in this time of global uncertainty
due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Collectively, we face a unique challenge that has significantly
Good Friday
impacted our learning community and our children now rely on us more than ever for stability
and comfort. (Preschool Closed)

As we continue to face indefinite childcare closures, many families now question

April what
13 to do at
home to supplement their child’s learning. How do we address our preschoolers’ ever-
changing needs when many of us face health concerns, financial insecurity, Easter
and aMonday
fear of the
unknown that often now underscores daily life?
(Preschool Closed)
The answer is to allow yourself grace and to find comfort in the knowledge that our children are
naturally inquisitive. Instead of feeling pressured to plan elaborate lessons or print daily
worksheets, try nurturing meaningful connections with your child through authentic learning
opportunities at home. Foster their independence by including them in your housework, meal
preparation, and baking. Read together, colour, sing, explore the outdoors at home together,
and – perhaps most importantly - PLAY with them!

I want to thank you from the very bottom of my heart for your ongoing support and positivity.
Your kind messages and optimistic words have brought comfort to all of us. We anxiously await
the day that we can open Adventure Academy’s doors again and continue learning with our
favourite little people. It will be a day of great celebration and one that fuels our hope during
this time of social distancing and isolation.

Thank you for choosing our tiny preschool - we are so fortunate to be part of such a supportive
community of loving families.

Wishing you the very best today and always,
