Last February 16, 2020, our group is assigned to give a return demonstration
about IV therapy. Due to circumstance, we only had one of us to do a return demo
that day because we need to attend the seminar that is conducted on the same day.

We continued the return demonstration on February 23, 2020 and it was a

hard yet fun day for us. All of us are anxious and excited at the same time with the
procedure as we are the last group to do this return demonstration. The feedback
from our classmates about how painful it is or how to do it right greatly affects our
thinking and movements. Sadly, not all of us succeeded in the insertion of the IV
cannula yet we are still happy as we’ve had the chance to do it our own and it made
us able to identify our errors and what to improve next time, when we do the same
procedure.

This experience is a great one because this is one of the hardest procedures
we’ve made as it is one of the most invasive yet. This experience will be a big help
for us in the future because IV insertion is one of the hardest and most common
nursing intervention here in the Philippines.
