Business Life After COVID-19

How will it affect your pocket?

COVID-19 has affected many businesses thus far, with non-essential businesses shutting down
or cutting open hours. But some business is booming right now with the effects of COVID-19,
stores like Lowe’s, Home Depot, Walmart, Grocery stores, and even online retailers such as
Amazon. During this pandemic it makes business owners realize what’s actually important. The
up and coming business owners will either choose businesses that could survive another
pandemic like this or businesses that are essential during times like this. This will have an effect
on up and coming careers make children who are old enough to remember this time will choose
careers that could survive during these times.

No absolute solutions have been stated on how businesses are going to recover after COVID-19,
but many people have predictions such as Megan McArdle on “The Washington Post” she
suggested that the government could give out cheap loans to help businesses pay their bills. But
many businesses are too indebted to survive a long period with no revenue, while others will
discover that a post-pandemic America no longer demands their services so much. The
government shouldn’t save those businesses and moreover, it won’t. Even if overall output
recovers, that will leave a lot of fallow real estate and displaced workers.

Since the end of the COVID-19 in China, they are trying to get business back and running as
normal. Many factories and public transportations methods have opened up, but business are still
suffering because people are still afraid to come out. It has been reported that things will take a
while to get back to normal financially, and many non-essential businesses will not recover.
Europe and the U.S. are hoping for the same success financially.

Going forward to how America moves as a country will be different. I feel most businesses will
invest more money and time into technology and how to conduct business virtually. More
companies will move solely to online sales and non-face to face activity. I feel business that is
non-essential after this pandemic will suffer. The restaurant businesses will have to come up with
creative ways to get customers to feel comfortable dining in and they will spend more money and
hire more employees to help with taking out orders and delivery. Department stores and Grocery
store will make sure to add more self-checkout machines because of so many of there employees
were out during the pandemic. They will also put more money into online sales and
accommodating people who don’t feel comfortable coming inside stores. While businesses like
uber eats, doordash, and instacart will continue to grow and more people will get jobs like that.

Generations to come will teach their kids of this time and convince them to choose a career that
is essential and that will be able to continue during times like this. Children coming up will be
the creative ones to figure out different ways to grow a business virtually. They will be the ones
inventing more websites and technology that will accommodate people forever. The workforce
going forward will be more intense and the skill sets people will need will be vert advance to be
able to survive.

Going forward businesses will need to be creative to stay open.
