Why We Should Stay at Home during The Covid-19 Quarantine

Why staying at home is very important? We know that right now COVID-19 is a serious
public health problem. People in the communities where the community spreads the virus that
causes COVID-19 have been reported to be at a high level even though the risk of exposure is
relatively low. Tourists returning from affected international locations, close contact with people
with COVID-19, and health care workers who treat patients with COVID-19 have a higher risk
of exposure.
So, stay at home is very important that individuals with symptoms that might be caused
by the corona virus and their household members stay at home. Staying at home will help control
the spread of the virus to friends, the wider community, and especially the most vulnerable.
Those who have symptoms and live alone must stay at home for 7 days after the onset of their
symptoms. This will reduce your risk of infecting others.
If you live with other people and you or one of them has symptoms that might be caused
by a coronavirus, then household members must stay at home and not leave your home for 14
days. If possible, you should not go out even to buy food or other basic necessities, besides
exercising, and in that case at a safe distance from others. The 14 day period starts from the day
when the first person in your home was sick.
If that is not possible, then you must do what you can to limit your social contact when
you leave home to get supplies. It is very likely that people who live in the household will infect
each other or may already be infected. Staying at home for 14 days will greatly reduce the total
number of infections that the household can transmit to others in the community.
Staying at home can be difficult and frustrating, but there are a number of things you can
do to make it easier. This includes plan ahead and think about what you need to be able to stay at
home for 7 or 14 full days. Talk to your friends and family to ask for their help to access the
things you need to make your stay at home.
People who have successfully completed periods of staying at home have occupied
themselves with activities such as cooking, reading, light exercise, studying online and watching
movies many people find it helpful to plan a full 14 days. Lastly, make sure that you keep in
touch with friends and family by phone or through social media.
