Pandemic and fallout on
families

A virtual survey was administered by me to

understand the effects of COVID-19 on
families and friends belonging to different
states of society in my city, Noida. The data
work was collected via an online survey, some
interviews were also carried out online or by
telephone, and a few interviews took place
face-to-face, observing social distance in the
rules. The interview frame was very simple.
The families were asked what had changed in
their life compared to the situation pre-
lockdown, what had improved, or what got
worse. In this report, I have
endeavouredendeavored to provide valuable
insight into the cumulative effects of the
pendulum as it progressed on families' lives
in our city.

Parents stress in COVID

lockdown
Parents who report finding taking care of their
children's learning and finding space and time for
themselves, their partner, and the children and for the
activities they used to do before the long down more
difficult were more stressed. Even though parents now
had more time for the children, the pressure to jumble
roles made parents more stressed. They found it more
difficult to understand their child's needs and to
respond in a sensitive way. The children in these
families were less understood by their parents and
reacted in more negative ways. As children remained
confined to their homes during the pandemic, they were
unable to meet their friends, play outdoors, or enjoy an
evening in the park, as  It has been observed that the
COVID-19 situation reported a high presence of
psychological distress such as depression, stress,
irritability, and post-traumatic stress syndrome
associated with quarantine. The closure of schools
further multiplied problems for parents because
parents were left alone dealing with their children's
education and learning. The COVID-19 epidemic had
made parents de facto home school teachers and tuition
teachers, but unfortunately they found it difficult to
keep their children on track and help them with
assignments. The difficulty became multifold if the
children happened to be in different grades. Ensuring
that children attend the online classes for the time table,
complete their homework and send it to the teacher,
and prepare for the next day's class had been a cause of
many parents

Impact of covet log down on the

routine of families
It has also been observe that covid 19 pandemic
influenced families routines relationships and
technology use (smartphone and tablet computers)
among families with school going children as the
pandemic dragged on and the burden of household and
professional work continue to increase parents
neglecting their normal daily routines as a result
children followed the same haphazard habits and
routines it had become a specially difficult for parents
to maintain a strict routine for their children with fixed
times for meals studying and sleeping in the current
situation parents were unable to restore structure and
as a result children lost interest in everything and
became aggressive low income group families found it
extremely difficult to provide devices to their children
for attending online classes many times children failed
to attend online classes resulting in learning losses and
eventually bad grades
Health behavior of families during
covid 19 lockdown

The corona pandemic has had a detrimental effect on

people's overall health and quality of life as a result of
public health measures to stem the spread of COVID
19, such as quarantine confinement. The capacity to
exercise and interact with friends and family on a
personal level has been hampered as a result. Being
social while avoiding attention People observed an
overall reduction in well-being, a decline in mental
health, and an increase in psychological suffering such
stress, worry, depression, and a sense of loneliness.
During the COVID lockdown, participants' eating
habits changed as well. They consumed more food, felt
more stress, and ate more meals and snacks throughout
the day, which made many people more vulnerable to
heart disease. Obesity and diabetes

society caused the unfortunate deaths of many of
our citizens and led to a different way of dealing
with aur personal finances in many households the
pandemic will pass soon however the true test of
time is how well we are able to navigate it and
help our children stay positive and healthy this Is
time for love support and care as we stretch to
help aur young ones learn and grow and perhaps
even equip them with the necessary skills to
prepare them for the future
