ACTIVITY 1: COVID19 (PANDEMIC)

1. What are the effects of Covid19 quarantine to you as:


A. Student- The effects of Quarantine for me as a student is it made me
realized that whatever it might be you have to be strong and prepared. That
everything is not permanent, everything might change in an instant.
Therefore in whatever you do, do your very best especially right now that
not all are privileged to have access on the internet or in data connection.
The studies became more complicated and studies is no longer conducive to
learning perhaps it becomes a burden to students.

B. Daughter or son- The effects of this pandemic covid19 to me as a daughter


is it made me see my parents efforts for the family. It is just funny that
because of the ECQ, GCE and the hard lockdown we had enough quality
time together that is worth to keeping for the rest of this life. You tend to see
new things in your parents or family. Staying at home is not boring indeed
but most exciting when you and your family had something to do together. It
is so fulfilling to see that everyone in the family works together especially as
children do the house chores so that my parents/mother could take a break in
taking care of the whole family.

C. Catholic/Christian- Most of the time, when there’s a pandemic like people


tend to become more prayerful and reflective. This is the time when their
faith & trust to God most tested. So As a Catholic/ Christian I have more
time to read His word and reflects on this.

D. Citizen of your community- Human as we are it is our nature to feel for


others especially to crisis like this. Crisis like this need a manpower
involvement to ensure safety and productivity, simply by following the rules
such as staying at home and wearing of face mask to ensure not just your
safety, your family’s safely but for the safely of your whole community.
2. As a Filipino, what can you contribute during this health crisis we are
in?
As a Filipino, as a student I can contribute huge to this health crisis we are in
by simply following the mandate made by our government in order to ensure
safety for the whole Philippines. Staying healthy by eating healthy foods and
keep your personal hygiene. This might sound so little but just imagine how
many you can protect by following the mandate. You protecting yourself,
your family, friends, community, front liners and the whole country because
just imagine how the virus can spread to one another. Protect yourself first to
protect others. And also lend prayers for others protection and lend
encouragement to others who are suffering to depression/anxiety and or
share whatever little things you have.

3. Give a personal Reflection of the present situation in your place.


- During this pandemic covid19 there is none excuse, you may be rich or
poor, young or old, everyone is vulnerable. Everyone is panicking for their
safety and for their family’s safety. Workers who are so dependent on their
job that is no work no pay salary worries what will happened to their
family. It feels painful for me to see how others suffer, how others went
hungry day by day, how others went depressed, how frustrated they are just
to survive. Most often in the remote areas they are big families like 10 plus
people in one household so it becomes more difficult for them. But I am
happy to see that despite of this situation they tried to follow the mandate
of the government for our safety. SAP made their life bit easier and you can
see it on their lovely smiles. And they became more diligent in cleaning
their surroundings and they became “ metikuloso” in their personal
hygiene. In my place eating vegetables every day is just natural that’s what
they used to prior to Quarantine.
ACTIVITY 2: COVID19 (THE QUARANTINE)

1. After 2 weeks of Quarantine, kindly narrate what you were doing,


your daily activities, please include or share your inner thoughts
during the 2 weeks quarantine. Indicate the positive side and
negative side.

Positive side
- During the 2 weeks Quarantine, I devote myself to be busy physically to
avoid depression because it was weird (boredom) to stay on that place
(Siaton) without access to internet and data connection can do but poor
data connection. So what I did is doing the house chores, singing karaoke
most often alone, reading different books, music sound trip, Zumba,
studying German language and be able to count 0-1000 and of course
helping in the family business. So my inner thoughts is there are many
ways to keep yourself productive even in the quarantine that are also
helpful in building your self-esteem and boost your confidence. Most
especially during this quarantine I did improved my skills in playing
guitar, improved myself in speaking German pronunciation many more.

Negative side
- During the 2 weeks Quarantine, I had so much of movie marathon (non-
stop) specifically horror movies which is not good for some children in the
house. And afterwards using cellphone to play offline games which is I
know that it is every harmful to the health (eyes) because of the radiation.
So my inner thoughts to this is we shouldn’t exposed ourselves with these
gadgets, if we do we should secure positive used and used it properly.
“Our health is wealth” so we shouldn’t destroy it slowly day by day.
