Activity 2. Describe Me Now

A glass that can be easily broken if not held properly. While stone is extremely hard, no
one can shatter it. I chose and drew two things that may be used to symbolize myself: a glass and
a stone. It is normal in life to have ups and downs. Different difficulties will arise, and we will
suffer as a result. Many of us are experiencing downfall, especially during this epidemic. Too
many people lost their jobs, were ill, and died as a result of the pandemic.

Me, myself encounter difficulties too because of this pandemic. I'm constantly worried
about what will happen next. My mind wanders with what-if scenarios. What if I get infected as
well? Would I suffer and die? It's hilarious, but it's true. My family has always kept me protected,
and they have never permitted me to go outdoors. They protect me from COVID-19. If they do not
constantly keep me secure and manage me properly, I am easily broken, just like a glass. I might
become infected. Thanks to them for constantly looking after me and my siblings.

One thing I've learnt during this pandemic is that I should be as hard as stone,
unbreakable. I'm sure there will be many more problems in my life like this one. Whatever
tomorrow brings, I'll be ready with open arms and eyes. To get through this, I need to be bold and
powerful. I may be physically weak, like glass, but I am mentally and emotionally tough, like
stone.
Activity 3. The Frontliners, My Heroes

Dear Frontliners,

Thank you for everything you're doing to help our fellow citizens during this pandemic. I
honestly can't imagine how difficult it must be for you to go to work every day knowing the risk
you face. You are extremely brave to continue! I realize it may seem difficult right now, but we
are all grateful for the job you do every day to assist those in most need. I can't explain how grateful
I am to know that individuals work tirelessly every day to safeguard the most vulnerable. Your
dedication motivates me. I can't image the worry and anxiety you must feel every day as you leave
your family to go to work in the midst of a crisis. I want you to know that we see and appreciate
the job you are doing. Thank you for taking care of our community. Don't give up! I know you can
go through this and grow stronger.

Sincerely,
Whyljyne Glasanay

Reflection

1. During this pandemic, my role as a citizen-student is to obey the IATF's safety protocols,
such as wearing a facemask, following social distancing, regular hand washing, and staying
at home if necessary. Furthermore, to the best of my ability, I should help people of our
community who are in need.

What I Can Do

1. The things I can do at home as a citizen-student during this pandemic are the following;
> Educate myself: Watch educational YouTube videos
> Educate my family, friends and community: Spread community awareness
> Share legitimate information sabot COVID-19 updates in the country
> Share something hopeful and positive
FINDING JOY IN THE “NEW NORMAL”
(INTEGRATION OF PSCHOSOCIAL ACTIVITIES IN THE LESSONS)

Activity 1. Guess What?

1. RECREATION
2. NEW NORMAL
3. QUARANTINE

Feel free to briefly share your most unforgettable experience during the quarantine period in the
space provided below.
During the quarantine period, my most unforgettable experience was bonding with my
family and having serious conversations about different topics.

Activity 2. Me And My Family

The pandemic that currently happening today has brought negative impact in our family.
It made our living difficult. We experience a lot of problems due to pandemic. But despite of those
problems this pandemic strengthens the relationship of everyone in our family. Staying at home
during this quarantine period gave a lot of time to bond with my family by doing
recreational/positive activities such as swimming, cooking together, engaging home fitness
activities, gardening, and many more.

My family is working together as a team with those recreational/positive activities which

made everyone of us feel supported with each other. It feels good that we preparing equipment’s
together for the activities and having chit-chats while helping each other to move forward through
these activities. I always find enjoyment with I’m with my family. There’s always something
special that I feel when doing those such recreational/positive activities with them. We share smile
and laughter’s. I can feel and see the pure love and happiness in them. I feel so bless that I have
this kind of family. It always feels good to be part to be part of warm and loving family.
Activity 3. #COVID-FREE

I draw hiking as this is what I want to do when the pandemic is over. It's been awhile since
I last experience it. I'd want to try it again since it's thrilling to hike to the tallest peak and camp at
the top. It's exhausting to do, but I'll be overjoyed when I reach the summit and complete this task.
However, without a buddy, this activity will not be completed. I'm sure I'll enjoy doing this with
my family or friends. I can't wait that this pandemic will end and do this kind of activity.

Reflection

1. Wearing a mask and a face shield. Sanitizers hanging to their sling bags, and individuals
one meter apart. These are some of the observations that I've seen as I observe my
neighborhood. This is how people's lives have become in the present time. They definitely
obeyed the existing laws and regulations established by the local government unit in their
behavior and actions. This kind of approach imposed by them significantly helped the
community's safety. By doing such acts, they are providing a positive example of a law-
abiding person, and this type of activity is far and away the most beneficial thing you can
do in this situation. You can not only defend yourself against the infection, but you can
also protect those around you. As a result, they will make a big contribution to end this
pandemic.
What I Can Do?

1. > Gardening
> Cooking
> Reading
> Watching movies
> Studying
> Exercising
> Gaming
> Cleaning
> Laundry washing
> Playing with dogs
> Bonding with family
