Module 2: HEALTHCARE AND WELLNESS

LEARNING TASK 1

1.) COVID 19 pandemic changed a lot our notion life balance, in this time of
difficulties, how would you utilize time and resources to learn-from-home keeping
yourself healthy and safe?

How would I utilize my time and resources to learn from home to keep myself healthy
and safe? .As a student we know that even when we are at home, we still experience stressful
times. Because of some paper works, deadlines and exams approaching. But I know we can
still do something to keep our minds and body healthy during this time. And some of them are
proper exercise, eating nutritious food, cleaning the environment inside and outside the house,
be physically active every day, sleep at the right time, try to create a new healthy habit for
yourself. Stay informed, but monitor your media intake and Seek support and stay social.
2.) What do you think are the possible reasons why many of individuals cannot
acquire enough time to have complete hours of sound sleep (aside from using
cell phones or any other gadgets)? What would be the best way/s to practice to
minimize those kinds of distractions?

One of the reasons I see is because we are now experiencing a global pandemic, it has
changed many things in our lives and this includes not sleeping well or sleeping patterns. Due to
the loss of their jobs, they are struggling with where to get their expenses and support for their
family. Isolation, health worries, paper works, home life-giving stress, anxiety, and depression.
And what would be the best way to minimize that kind of distraction? First, do something that
will relax you, such as audio meditation before bed. Second, deal with worries, learn to
postpone our worrying. Last, Get active during the day, because regular exercise can help
reduce stress, anxiety and stay socially active with your family.
3.) Why there are some cases that many of healthy-looking individuals acquire
COVID-19 virus, though they are consuming healthy foods?

Poor nutrition can impair our everyday fitness, health and decrease our capacity to guide
an exciting and lively life. In the fast term, poor nutrition can contribute to stress, tiredness, and
our ability to work, and over time, it can contribute to the chance of growing a few illnesses and
different health problems. This includes having the virus, you can quickly become infected with
Covid -19 when your body does not have enough nutrition. But there are some cases, that there
are people who have no symptoms (asymptomatic) or look healthy but are already carrying
shovel virus. They can still be infected. This is called asymptomatic. So we should always eat
nutritious food and follow protocols.
4.) How would you keep yourself and the rest of your family members productive,
healthy and safe during this crisis?

To keep me and as well as my family members productive, healthy, and safe during this
crisis is first to stay active. Even when we are inside our homes, don’t forget to exercise with the
people with us in our home; it will also serve as bonding with our family. The second is
Adequate Sleep, let's sleep at the right time and avoid negative thoughts so that we can sleep
well. Next is Diet and Nutrition, practice self-discipline, eat healthy foods such as leafy, greens,
oranges, even fresh herbs, take vitamins, fiber and minerals. Let's make it a habit to eat
nutritious foods instead of eating snacks or fast food. And how to care ourself, take a time to
relax, and have quality time with your family to avoid stress and anxiety.Lastly, the most
important to keep safe is to follow protocols, always wash hands, wear a face mask and face
shield and adhere to social distancing.
