Why are there always both optimistic and pessimistic voices regarding the future? Can either side argue for the truth of their perspective beyond different psychological dispositions?
In order of criticism for everything that happens in our world, there
are those who criticize that we must be optimistic and see the good side of things, but we have to see life depends on how you perceive reality.
The optimists argue that scientific and technological advances are
strongly introduced in all institutions and educational system exception and this will contribute decisively to create better conditions for the democratization of knowledge. The optimist is faster for action, is more active. But underestimate the difficulties and risks of venturing into dangerous paths caught short form. The pessimist, by contrast, is overly cautious and end up losing many good opportunities. The pessimistic views, however, imagine a future strongly segmented. In which will be grouped institutions with high technology and share knowledge to the privileged sectors, with others where you will not notice the passage of time. In fact, optimism and pessimism are two attitudes to the difficulties and the future. There are also two different ways of relating to oneself and other humans. The pessimist, as we said have a negative view of the future. But it also has a negative view of men. Of them expected the worst. We discover the worst qualities, most selfish motivations, less disinterested. To the pessimist society is made up of people miserable, corrupt, evil intimately, always ready to take advantage of the situation for their own benefit. People from which one cannot trust and do not deserve our help. For example, if someone has a project in a short time it will present all the obstacles, all the difficulties that the person will encounter. And you will understand then, after reaching the goal it will only have disappointment and humiliation. Then the person will feel empty, and helpless. The pessimist in reality is basically lazy. Do not want to make efforts to adapt to new things. It is routine. Has customs needed to wake up, to have lunch, and for the weekend. Compared to pessimistic, it seems naive. However, one realizes that in fact, sees the evil and weaknesses of others. But do not let these obstacles stop. Account the fact that every human being there is some positive qualities and try to wake them. The pessimist is confined to himself and not listen to others. The optimist, however pay attention to people. Let them talk, dedicated time, and in this way can identify a positive aspect that can see their qualities to make it rich. The optimist also gets easier to overcome difficulties. Because it is more open to new solutions and can quickly turn a disadvantage into an advantage. The pessimist sees the difficulty before, but left hypnotize and paralyze it. While often it only takes a little imagination to reverse the situation.
The main paradox regarding the future of education is that, under so
many uncertainties, we have one certainty: the knowledge will play an increasingly important role in the development of nations and the lives of its residents. Different processes are meeting to place education as the most important factor of the future of countries and people. The rapid scientific and technological progress and the generation of new patterns of production and work organization become obsolete economic theory which placed the traditional factors of production, land, labor and capital as drivers of development and growth. But knowledge can only be employed through the skills of individuals. Major studies show that the most dynamic technologies for the near future (microelectronics, biotechnology, telecommunications, new materials, robots and computers) will be installed where there are citizens with the capacity and skill to use them. Because in a world where natural resources, capital and technology move quickly, the ability of education systems to become highly qualified workforce will become one of the most productive and growth of nations. But this possibility of having people who possess the necessary skills to work by incorporating new technologies not only have significant value in order of creating conditions of external competitiveness, we also have a strong impact on quality of life of people. Because scientific advances and management of new technologies will place us in a better position to find solutions to historical social issues (urban development, health, education, food, housing, transportation, etc.). And for production of those goods, distributed through equity policies can mean a fundamental contribution in the fight against poverty. The aims of this pessimistic over life have higher expectations and that's an optimistic future. In contrast, optimistic about what is happening in the present to give up giving up critical is the human condition. Progress is possible only if you are unhappy with the present. I think we can agree on a philosophy of futuristic optimism and enthusiasm as a way of living than pessimism. With the passing of the things I have learned that we are happier and perform better when we look to the future with hope and enthusiasm. Any of those can say the true because the true is what people want to be, because we make our future either way if we are optimistic or pessimistic we make it. Therefore I will say that people have to be optimistic in everything they do, but with a little of selfishness to not let people to get advantage of us.
