2.0 Introduction:
This procedure is application to AC system installation for the project titled, “ NEW
400/220kV GRID STATION AT RUWAIS”, UAE, contract N-7680

HSE MANAGER :
HSE-Q manager shall conduct periodic audit of safety and review the procedure at
site
periodically.
PROJECT MANAGER:
Project manager must ensure that appropriate resources are provided for safe delivery of the
work.
5..1 RFI shall be raised to Consultant one day prior to start of Extract Fan
installation by Supervisor.
5..3 Site engineer to ensure that the progressing of works is carried out
according to the planned program and as per the approved method
statement.
5..5 To ensure that all equipment and materials required to execute the
works are available according to the planned construction program.
5..6 To co-ordinate with the Site Manager, QC Inspector, Safety Officer and
Foreman for a safe and proper execution of the works.
5..7 To control and maintain all safety measures in coordination with the
Safety Officer.

crane/Fork Lift.

Storage
All Extract Fans will be stored in covered storage area the contract
specification and manufacturer’s recommendation shall be the master
Reference for the material handling, storage and transport.
6.5 Preconditions
1 Shift the fans to the place of installation in safe manner using hand trolley, fork
lift/crane as applicable. Sufficient manpower will be engaged as required for safe
shifting and installation.
3 Ensure air inlet and outlet connections orientation are as per approved drawings.
4 Fix the flexible duct connector to fan inlet and outlet as per approved
drawings/manufacturer’s instructions.

5 The fan is placed correctly on foundation. (if applicable) at the right location.
6 The fans will be properly leveled and parallel to room walls/other installations.
7 Fans shall be inspected again for any damage during hoisting/shifting and
installation.
