REFLECTION PAPER ON

“Anti-Bullying Act of 2013”

One’s student life is boring if mild jokes and teases are not done. This
is especially when the person involved reacts in a funny way. The
excitement and experience is what makes school enjoyable, hence what
makes the memories of elementary, secondary, or tertiary journey worth
revisiting from time to time. Despite being funny and leads the easing of the
tension, certain conditions must be considered.

Bullying is one of the results mild jokes and teases might lead into.
This is the act of over-doing the fun, not knowing that you are already
hurting someone. That person may be kill-joy, but your joke may be already
below the belt. Bullying can lead to a lot of things, depression being one of
the worst.

The idea of bullying has been introduced to us since we were young

and I could still remember how we got reprimanded because of how
immature we were when we often violate the rule. Words coming from out
mouth are like gun fired without aim. One may be offended, one may feel
glad. The impact caused by bullying backslashes, the very way you treat
others will reflect unto you. Your act of discrimination and bullying may
result to misunderstanding, thus, showing how insensitive this deed is.

Each one of us may have experience being bullied, maybe that is

why when we get the chance, we try to bully other people as well, thinking
that maybe we can relate to the feeling of becoming a bully and not being
the one who was humiliated. Certain acts of hypocrisy shows how people
think that they can stop the bullying but is still hopeful that the world will
change, disregarding the fact that they themselves are bully of the society.
The act was pushed in accordance to the need to give justice and action to
the ones who abuses their freedom of speaking their hearts out. This has
given the victims the opportunity to protect and defend their selves.

In the present, even if it is still noticeable that the world is not free
from bullying, it is important to take into account that the people is now
aware of the different terms related to this issue. The stigma is now slowly
being broken by activists trying their hard to show the world that each
person does not fit into a certain standard set by people who wanted to
control minds through bullying.

It is an important law protecting those who are weak and can’t afford
to provide justice for them. The law will not only cover the bullied, but also
give awareness about the things that are needed to be done. Thus, action
must be made, bullying must be stopped, and acceptance must be
promoted.
