PROJECTS OF SEMINAR ON LANGUAGE TEACHING

1st Project: 24 April 2020 Submit : 8 May 2020 ( 2 meetings) Deadline Time : 18.00

1) Self- reflection
1. Write the reflection of your learning journey in the previous meetings with Dr. E.
Hoessein M.Ls., covering the conceptual knowledge and practical knowledge you have,
also your soft and hard skills. The reflection should be write into an essay consist more
than 3000 words.
2. Find one of the students of English study program (Senior or Alumni) to do critical
review of your proposal (chapter 1 and chapter 3), provide any comments/critics that you
have from him/her related to the weakness and strengths of your proposal
3. Write the outline of chapter 2: Literature Review. The components of Literature Review
consist of 3 Main points; 1) Theoretical Review, 2) Empirical Review ( relevance
Previous Studies) and 3) Conceptual Framework. You need to expand the theoretical
review with some sub topics.
4. Find 5 related articles (the new latest previous studies) and 3 English textbooks related to
your area of interest. Write those references (5 articles + English textbooks based on the
APA style.

2st Project: 8 May 2020 Submit: 15 May 2020 Deadline Time : 18.00

2) Write the critical review of 5 articles based on the given template and the products
of critical review of related articles will be the part of the Empirical Review
3) After you have done with the critical review of related journals, then continue with
write it into an essay for “The Empirical Review.

4) Write the critical review of chapter books related to your proposal

To write the critical review of chapter books please follow the steps below;
1) Highlight the content of books (3 textbooks)
2) Decide two chapters book related to your outline of the review of literature ( 6
chapters)
3) Ready and study the given sources about the ways to do critical review of chapter
books to broaden your knowledge in writing your critical review.

4) Follow the content; introduction – summary- critics-conclusion for writing a critical
review of each of chapter book.
5) Write the reading time starting for the first day you read, analyze and write your
critical review until the last day as the report in different pages
6) The products of your critical review of related textbooks will be written as the
theoretical review in your proposal.
4th Project: 27 May 2020 Submit: 4 June Deadline Time : 18.00

5) Write the conceptual Framework

After you complete your previous projects, then read and study again to write your
conceptual framework. Conceptual framework is the part/place to synthesize all the
empirical and theoretical review based on the needs of your research. It is the
ideas/theories that you restate use your own sentences as well as it describes about the
ways you will analyze your data of research. Conceptual framework is the knife to
analyze your research data based on the grounded theories.

5th Project : 4 June 2020 Submit : 18 June 2020 Deadline Time : 18.00

6) Developing Research instruments

You are demanded to develop any instruments (observation checklist, questionnaire,
guided questions for interview, test, and lesson plan ) based on the needs of your research
projects

7) Complete the research proposal (cover, table of content, preface, chapter 1, chapter
2, chapter 3, references, attachments)

All the projects should be submitted in Siakad and e- learning system or my email
chocha72souisa@yahoo.com. After you upload the project please let me know about it.
