Presente simple

Forma activa: Somebody cleans this room every day.

Forma pasiva: This room is cleaned every day.

Pasado simple

Forma activa: Somebody cleaned this room yesterday.

Forma pasiva: This room was cleaned yesterday.

was/ were + past participle

Exercises: Change to passive

1. Present simple:

1) Generators produce electric current.


- Electric current is produced by generators.
2) Installing larger cable reduces voltage drop.
- Voltage drop is reduced by installing larger cable.
3) Connecting the non-safety loads to the safety-related electrical bus requires  the use of a
Class-1E breaker.
- The use of a Class-1E breaker required for connecting the non-safety loads to the
