Anecdotal Observation Record

Child’s Name: Emma Feiertag Age: 4

Observer: Katie Harder Date: 02/20/20
Domain – Social/Emotional Development

Anecdotal Note: Describe what you saw the child do and/or heard the child say.

Emma walked into the housekeeping area. One of her classmates turned to Emma and said, “I’m
going to play babies with you.” Emma said, “okay, sure.” Emma then followed the little girl to
where the babies were. Emma grabbed the baby out of the bin with her right hand, sat down on
the child sized couch and held the baby upright so the baby’s head was on Emma’s left shoulder.
Emma put her right hand on the baby’s back and then started to rock the baby back and forth.
Emma’s classmate then did the same as her.
