A / AN Use “A / AN” for indefinitive nouns:

 A : un/una (se usa cuando la palabra que sigue empieza con una consonante)

 VOCABULARY: PLURAL OF NOUNS

Para transformar un sustantivo de singular a plural se debe tener en cuenta las siguientes reglas:

 Regular nouns
 A la mayoría de los sustantivos sólo se les agrega una “S”
Ex.
Book -> bookS
Chair -> chairS
 Cuando la palabra termina en S, SH, CH, O, X, Z se agrega “ES”.
Ex.
Boox -> boxES tomato -> tomatoES
Brush -> brushES
BUT:
Piano -> pianos radio -> radios video -> videos photo -> photos
 Cuando el sustantivo termina en “y” y antes hay una consonante, se cambia la “y” por “i” y
recién se agrega “es”.
Ex.
Library -> libraries dictionary -> dictionaries
 Si la palabra termina en “f” o “fe” se cambian estas letras por “ves”.

 GRAMMAR: TO BE (SER) - Have got ( TENER)
 To describe a person, we can use 2 verbs: TO BE y el HAVE GOT.
- We use the verbo TO BE to describe how a person is.
Ex. Maria IS young and pretty. ( Maria ES joven y linda)
Messi IS short and thin. (Messi ES bajo y delgado.)
My brothers ARE tall and handsome. (Mis hermanos SON altos y lindos.)

- We use the verbo HAVE GOT to make a physical description and possessions.
Ex. I HAVE GOT long dark hair. (Yo TENGO cabello largo y oscuro.)
