Gross Named UWG’s Star Student

Current student at University of West Georgia begins her journey after she was nominated for
being the top student at the University, Senior Sarah Gross has been an example student during
her time at UWG and has shown excellent time management and dedication.

UWG plans on sponsoring her in a campaign around the school promoting excellent student
achievement.

“Over the past four years at University of West Georgia I have learned so much and got to
experience more than I could ever imagine.” Gross said. “I am so excited to promote this school
and show current and future college students that everything is possible when you put your
mind to it.”

University officials have made it clear that they want to honor Sarah with the recognition she
deserves after hosting a photo shoot to kick start her campaign, Sarah is an outstanding student
and has upheld a 4.0 GPA since her freshman year, had many jobs on campus, been apart of
multiple on campus organizations and has recently been the president of her sorority.

“I can’t wait to show the students what this school has to offer,” Gross said.

After Gross’s outstanding years at UWG she has been granted a position after she graduates at
the University in the Wolf Wellness Lab. She will work along her professors and peers but on a
professional level now. She also will be attending graduate school at UWG to further her career
in health and community wellness.

“I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime and I would have never thought that I would be
in this position in my life having these opportunities,” Gross Said.

After interviewing people to get more information on Gross and her journey at UWG, and her
friends tell us how she is not only a well-rounded student, but she is also a kind and genuine
person.

“I am in Sigma Kappa with Sarah and I always see her sticking to her schedule, but I also see her
being nice and helpful to everyone she talks to,” Jenkins said.
Getting to know a wonderful student, friend and mentor like Sarah is an honor. After her
dedication and determination has shown what UWG looks for in students.
