The maintenance program consists of the following processes:

PM-1
1. Basic mechanical, electrical and electronic tool maintenance performed after every job. Tools are
yellow tagged indicating that basic maintenance has been performed. This procédure is posted
online.
2. This is followed by an operational check in the calibration tank prior to the next job. The tools are
then G r e e n tagged, indicating job readiness. If the tank check is out of limit, a calibration is
performed.

PM-2
3. Every three months the tools are thoroughly checked by a maintenance engineer. The procédure
outlined in this section is followed to ensure that the various circuit segments are performing
within acceptable limits. This insures that weak components are detected and replaced and
assures that the tool measurement will be within limit.
4. The P M - 2 procédure is followed by a new calibration regardless of when the tool was last
calibrated.

PM-3
The P M - 3 procédure is performed under the following conditions:
5. when any components that could adversely affect the tool performance at rated température have
been replaced in the tool
6. when tool failure is suspected to be caused by température changes
7. when chronic intermittent failures cannot be reproduced
8. in préparation for a higher than normal température job
The P M - 3 program is basically an expanded P M - 2 run at or above the expected operating température.
