Dear, Mr. Rendek,

Growing up, I can’t remember a time where I wasn't immersed with the game of
basketball. As I have suffered a major knee injury, my focus now fully shifts to the reporting
aspect of the game. Looking back on the analysts that called play-by-plays for the games that I
watched, I want to have the same charismatic and memorable voice that will be remembered
with the game of basketball.

Analyzing games requires a depth of understanding for the game making it easy for
viewers to follow along. Up until my teenage years, I played at both an AAU and high school
level. When I wasn't playing the game, I was studying it. Watching as much as I could, I am
familiar with almost every player in the league, their college careers and their professional
accolades.

Aside from the knowledge, an analyst also must have to know how to communicate and
with charisma. I am currently a sophomore at The University of Rhode Island working towards
completing my degree in public relations with a minor in political science. The knowledge of
political science will aid my communication skills as I study domestic and international
perspectives.

I would be more than welcome to conduct a formal interview. If you have any further
additional questions please feel free to let me know. I will call a week from today and see if you
are interested in my services. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Joe Rossi
