course contents in helping you enhance

What significant learning insights did you
gain from the course?
Response/s
 The course is very much important
not only for the learners but also for
the teachers and to the school
administration. This course has a
great help to the new generation of
learners to develop their full
potentials in a rapidly-changing
world. The skills learned today are
likely to become outdated in a very
short time. As such, teachers and
other professional are constantly
urged to keep abreast with a new
developments in their respective
fields. This course is one way to
continue or adopt a new trend of
education to guide our students to
confront the many challenges they
face as they navigate their 21st
century world.
 The significant learning insights that
I gained from the course are the
following: The Four Pillars of Learning,
the 21st Century KSAVs , and the
Roles of a 21st Century Teacher like
teacher as a subject matter expert,
as a facilitator of learning, and as a
classroom manager. I learned from
the four pillars oflearning that
learning involves the acquisition and
development of knowledge and skills
that are needed to function in the
world. The individuals would enable
to effectively participate in the global
economy and societ.y. The society
should be linked to the future career
or occupations.After the acquisition of
these knowledge and skills, it should
be developed and live the values
such as respect and concern for
others and respect the diversity
among people inorder to live in peace
and harmony. The learning must also
involves activities that promote
holistic personal development (body,
mind and spirit) to become an all-
round complete person. In short,
teacher must touch his/her students
not only for academic but also to
other aspects of his/her personality.
What challenges or difficulties did you
experience during the course?
What areas related to 21st Century
teaching and learning do you still need to
improve on and why?
What can you say about your overall
experience (i.e. comment on chat, forum,
course requirements, FLT competency,
and the online modality)?
 I felt difficulty when the internet
connection is poor.
 When there was a conflict on the
chat session schedule with other
school – related activities.
 Time constraints in accomplishing
the assignments and other tasks.
I want to improve more of my knowledge
on promoting global classroom,
independent learning and collaborative
team-work because as far I did the the self-
assessment of my classroom, I feel that
these areas are not yet fully evident in my
classroom.So far, I have already in my mind
where shall I start. I will do first the learning
style inventory inorder me to get an idea on
how to make a differentiated instruction
that may cater according to the needs of
my students. With this strategy, I can help
my students boost their self-confidence and
develop their independent and
collaborative team-work. I need to improve
also of engaging integrated and
interdisciplinary of lessons in and across
learning areas. I also wanted to develop
more on facilitative teaching-learning
process and teaching strategies that elicit
active learning. I found these important to
improve inorder me to guide my students
and help them become equipped to face
challenges in the future.Lastly, I really
wanted to know the contextualization of
lessons especially in Math. I am still eager
to look for strategies/ techniques using
contextualization.
I am very happy and thankful that I was
sent and enrolled in this course because I
gained much knowledge that I may use to
improve my teaching skills. I find it hard
sometimes especially in doing my cousrse
requirements due to lack of time but I feel
it so challenging and fulfilling. My time
management skill at this moment was
developed. During our first chat session, I
felt nervous and at the same time excited
especially that it was re-scheduled. My

coverage and future course deliveries?
agony was prolonged but it’s all okay. I am
eager to share my awkward moment
during our chat session. Maybe I am being
childish (or let us say basin KSP sad ko
before, jejeje) to feel like this. When Sir
Bong gave words of appreciation everytime
that I answered his questions, I felt
“heaven” and from that I’d tried my very
best to be very active during our chat
session and to submit my assigned taks
earlier just to be recognized at the end
part of our session. With this, I realized the
feelings of the students when they received
words of appreciation and recognition for
their achievements. From now on, I will
lpractice myself to always give praise my
students to recognize their achievements
all the time in order them to be more
motivated to achieve their goals. About our
FLT, you’re so admirable in the sense of
your strategies on motivating your
learners,Sir. Though I felt that you are strict
in implementing your rules during the
session and also in evaluating our answers
but I felt satisfied and fulfilled with your
ways, Sir. Thank you very much.
My suggestion for improving the content
coverage on this course is that instead of
the 4 chat sessions to cover all modules in
the course, it will be 6 or 7 sessions. The 4 th
sessions will be broken down into 2 or 3
sessions because it’s too long. Other topics
were not given emphasis due to shortage of
time.
