LEARNING NEEDS READINESS TO LEARN LEARNING STYLE
Subjective Cues:
P = Physical Readiness

The 19 years-old male young adult health status is well. He


has no physical, visual, and auditory acuity and impairment.
The topic to be taught is teachable and easy to be learned by
the client and the task to be performed is doable. It requires
little energy and more on manual dexterity and cognition. The
client is active with adequate ability to learn.

Objective Cues: E = Emotional readiness Visual

The client has mild anxiety level due to strong support system
from the family and friends. The client feels comfortable and
shows willingness to learn. The client finds it as a necessity
for him to learn to prevent Health risk of Obesity. Client
displays enthusiasm to learn new things and is very open to
being taught about his health.

E = Experiential readiness
Learning diagnosis: The client has expressed that he has a postive previous
learning experience and is willing to acquire new and proper
behaviours. The client shared that he was not able to praactice
healthy eating due to insufficient knowledge and lack of time
to prepare it. The client is a Filipino-Taiwanese and speaks
English and Filipino. The client has an internal locus of
control (ready to learn) due to his own willingness to learn
and improve his health. Lastly, The client has a cosmopolitan
orientation meaning that the client is receptive to new or
innovative ideas.

K = knowledge Readiness
The Client has enough knowledge and shows clear views
towards his health but lacks knowledge on Proper Nutrition.
The Client is able to read and write and can undertand both
Filipino and English. Client also displays high cognitive
ability and can easily understand and memorize concepts
being explained.
