Role specific duties to form part of the Recovery Coordinator JD

Group work Facilitator


Purpose of the role.
As directed by the Prisons manager and Team Leaders, you will be an integral member of the
dynamic prison team providing a range intensive programmes, groups, harm reduction advice,
comprehensive and tailored interventions, training to staff with structured, one to one and
further group development.

1 Role-specific responsibilities

1.1 To provide interventions both group and 1:1 for hard to service users within the secure
estate.

1.2 To work as part of a prison Team.

1.3 Provide advice & interventions for harm reduction, blood borne viruses and overdose
prevention advice and naloxone provision

1.4 To provide assessment and interventions in a prison setting

1.5 To support the provision and development group facilitation, training and supporting
on site staff to deliver group interventions.

To engage all service users who may benefit from a group work intervention.

1.7 To provide a confidential, safe and secure learning environment for service users.
