I. Objective: At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
A. Pre-Activity

4. Motivation: MR. TWISTER
A. Directions: Read the tongue twister with correct pronunciation and diction.
(The students will read the tongue twister after the teacher demonstrates the
correct pronunciation and diction. The teacher will ask for volunteers to recite
the tongue twister observing its correct pronunciation and diction, and the
students reciting the tongue twister with no mistakes will be given a reward.)
I. Directions: (The teacher will look for volunteer students to do the operations per
number on the board.) In your Mathematics Subject, you had learned the four
operations namely, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division. In this activity,
you need to solve the operations first to get the missing letters (since that all the
numbers are equivalent to a letter in the Alphabet example 1=A, 2= B, 3=C, 4=D, 5=E…)
then supply the missing letters to the blanks to reveal the exact word.
Example: AN___ =
SOLVE: 10+10= 20 = T
AN+T= ANT
1. 5+4= 9 (I)
2. 2+3= 5 (E)
3. 36÷2= 18(R)
4. 30-5= 25 (Y)
5. 2x2= 4 (D)
6. 11+11= 22 (V)
7. 6÷2= 3 (C)

Then, the teacher will ask the following questions to the students which are related to the activity
presented.
II. Directions: (The students will be grouped into seven for there are Seven Literary Devices.)
Match the Literary Device and its definition in the strips of paper to the given sentences in the
Manila Paper.

observations in the activity.
2. ABSTRACTION:
a. What is the purpose of literary device?
Literary Device- are structures usually words or phrases in literary
texts that writers employ to achieve not merely artistic ends but also
readers’ greater understanding and appreciation of their literary works.
