It’s time to elect our 2020 – 2021 parent representatives to our School-Based Decision Making
(SBDM) Council. In Kentucky, each school has a council composed of the principal, elected teachers, and
Central City elected parents who make many of the most important decisions about how their school will work.
Home of the Nomination letters, forms, and fact sheets are available in an envelope attached to the front doors
Golden Tide of the school. Complete the nomination and drop it in the drop box also located at the front entrance.
Nominations are due to no later than Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. If you know someone who
would be a good candidate, please nominate and encourage that person to run.
The election will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2020, from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
Parents/guardians with a child enrolled at Central City Elementary School for the 2020 – 2021 year are
eligible to vote in this election. (This includes parents, step-parents, and foster parents. Legal guardians are
also eligible to vote if the child lives in their home.) Eligible adults will be given the opportunity to cast
their ballot as they collect their student’s belongings by signing for a ballot, completing the ballot, and
placing the ballot in the designated ballot box that will be brought to the vehicle. All parents/guardians are
to remain in their vehicles at all times.
Thank you,
