Question 1
“Verily, it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts which are in the chests that
grow blind”. [Quran 22:46]

With reference to above verse, explain the terms “Blind heart” and “Blind eyes” in detail.

With the Reference to the Verse:

Blind means “unable to see because of injury, disease, or a congenital condition”. It also
refers that your heart and eyes become blind for another person in the way of love and
anything but in the Quran Allah (SWT) not talking about it. It is directly linked to the Allah
(SWT). The blindness meaning of heart and eyes are different.

Blind Heart

Blind heart symbolizes that a person sees everything but it depends on his heart that how he
judges the thing because a noble person and evil person sees everything but noble person
sees in a positive way instead of evil man which sees in a negative man. If your heart is full
of negativity then your heart becomes a blind heart. When a person does not offer prayers
then his heart become a blind heart. Blind heart refers to negativity.

Blind Eyes

Blind eyes symbolizes that when you will not offer prayer then Allah (SWT) stops to see you
the way then your eyes become blind and you are not able to see the best way to Allah
(SWT) and you will not succeed in the Day of Judgment.

If you want that your heart and eyes will not become blind then offer prayers and recite the
Quran every day. Keep your faith strong by only praying to Allah (SWT) to keep you focus
on the real purpose of your life.

“Those who believed, and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in
the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest”. [Quran 13:28]

Question 2
Discuss the diseases of heart and ways to prevent them in the light of Quran.

Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA) Said:

“The disease of the heart is worse than the disease of the body.”

Major Heart diseases which can cause other diseases to occur are:

 Doubts
 Base desires

Doubts

Doubts are negative thinking about anything which may leads you to the mental illness, lack
of confidence and lack of trust. When those doubts come in your faith then they make your
faith weak and make you struggle for the purpose of your life in this universe. This is so
harmful disease that it can make any person feeling less and can leave a permanent mark on
the victim’s heart that he/she could never feel peace in his free time.

Base Desires

Human Desires are now exceeding the limitations of legibility. Most common desires are
money and fame. Everyone wants to either be rich enough to enjoy their life or to be famous
enough to be known everywhere. But those desires even if fulfilled can’t make you any prior
near Allah (SWT). But such desires for negative intention can lead you to a horrible disease
of thanklessness.

How to Prevent Those Diseases?

Those diseases are not powerful than the power of Islam. If you keep your faith in Islam and
firmly belief in oneness of Allah (SWT) only prays him and always avoid those desires and
doubts to overcome your faith.

“God will not take you to task for a slip, but He will take you to task for what your hearts
have earned.” [Quran 2:225]

Read Quran Daily and always consult daily life problems from the Quran to make you feel
convenient and to provide you with the mental satisfaction of being right.

God has sent down the best discourse as a Book, fully consistent within itself, oft-repeated,
where at shiver the skins of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and hearts soften
to the remembrance of God. [Quran 39:23]
