I am writing to you to express my interest for the high school science teaching job listed within
your school district. As someone who is currently completing their education degree, I have
experience with student teaching at the high school level within a science class. In addition, a
keen interest in science coupled with a love for the education process makes me the ideal
candidate for the position.
 
I have had numerous experiences with education and science in the past, as I have held a position
as a science instructor at a local camp in Connecticut. In addition, I have worked with high
school level children as a private tutor for both science and history. I have had experience with
children of all different backgrounds and skill level, and so with that considered, I believe I
would be an exceptional candidate for this position.
   
The Waterbury School District is a wonderful district to work for, and I can see why. I’d look
forward to the opportunity presented if I were to be hired as the high school science teacher, and
would love to use what I have learned to benefit your students and keep them engaged and
constantly willing to learn.
