SDSU Student I am writing to be considered as a candidate for a teaching position at your school district. I am ㅡ a senior at South Dakota State University, graduating in May of 2023. I am earning a major and teaching certification in Early Childhood Education from SDSU, along with an Elementary Alisen Young Education certification that I will receive from Dakota State University. I am also minoring in 2205 9th St. Apt. #5 Human Development and Family studies. During my https://alisenpyoung.weebly.com/ undergraduate degree at South Dakota State University, I took a multitude of courses in instructional methods of language arts, math, science, and social studies, classroom management, child development, differentiation techniques in special education, assessment and curriculum, parent-teacher relationships, and documentation. I excel in my leadership abilities, organizational skills, and collaboration qualities. My current leadership roles at SDSU include being the President of the Association for the Education of Young Children, a member of Pinky Swear, and a member of State-a-Thon. In addition to my coursework and engagement on campus, I participated in numerous field experiences including: assistant teaching in a three and four-year-old classroom, student teaching in a kindergarten classroom, and practicum experiences in a middle school science classroom and 1st-grade classroom. I am currently student teaching in a fourth-grade science classroom at Camelot Intermediate School in Brookings, SD.
