I am writing in regard to any openings in the elementary school in your district. I am a December
2022 graduate of South Dakota State University, with a major and teaching certification in Early
Childhood Education, along with certification in Elementary Education that I received from
Dakota State University.

As an undergraduate student at South Dakota State University, I was fortunate enough to take
courses in child development, assessment, teaching methods, classroom management, as well as
parent-teacher, and child-teacher relationships. I was also given the opportunities of gaining field
experience by having practicum hours in a fifth-grade social studies classroom, sixth grade
reading and science classrooms, as well as an early childhood special education classroom. I also
student taught in a kindergarten prep classroom at the Volga Christian School in Volga, SD.
Currently, I am completing my final student teaching experience in a kindergarten classroom at
Dakota Prairie Elementary in Brookings, SD.
