My name is Josie Munsterman and I am writing to be considered as a student teacher candidate through DSU. I
am a fourth-year student at South Dakota State University cooperative Dakota State University majoring in Early
Childhood Education Coop Elementary Education. I am thrilled to take my next and final step in my teacher
education by beginning student teaching this Spring.

I offer a combination of unique skills and competencies which I have developed through my time at South Dakota
State University cooperative Dakota State University. My skills, passion for growing young minds, positivity,
growth mindset, and experiences have prepared me to be a reliable and hard working student teacher through
DSU. I am successful in creating mutual meaningful relationships with children while gaining respect from them. I
have strengths in creativity, organization, communication, leadership, emotional intelligence, and empathy. My
coursework through DSU and SDSU has prepared me with a vast tool box that I will utilize to provide my students
with a positive environment promoting growth, individualized learning plans, and long-lasting learning skills.
